Re: [mukto-mona] China can grab the whole South China sea with no consequences? Can US call the bluff?

Farida's upper chamber is, probably, not functioning lately as it should be.
Yes, I am looking at Japan, Africa, and South American  countries. And, what I am finding - China is expanding its business empire there. So what? I already said - China needs to sell things to remain powerful.
Japan was once an economic might in the world as well, before it was hit by an economic recession; from which, it could not recover in the last 30 years.
So, Chinese economic might may not be everlasting also. Just think about this - if tariffs on Chinese imports are put in the USA, see what will happens to Chinese economy. Also, don't forget, China has to feed 1.3 billion mouths. Therefore, I consider China as a paper tiger, and, recession can hit at any time; it has slowed down, already.
You need abundance of other resources for a stable might, which only USA have. So, you may be right, I am clinging to the US-might.
Also, please do not refer to me some journalist's opinion; I, usually, don't depend on the opinion of others to formulate my own opinion.

Good luck to Balochistan!

There are major differences between East Bengal of 1971 and Balochistan of 2016. Here are some. The level of atrocities by Pakistani military in East Bengal was much worse than what Balochistan has now. East Bengal had a lot more non-Muslims than what Balochistan has now. Blochistan is a contiguous part of today's Pakistan, East Bengal was separated by India from the rest of Pakistan at that time. Unlike Balochistan, East Bengal not only had border with India, it was almost surrounded by India.

So, Balochistan needs a lot more of luck than what Bangladesh needed in 1971.

Baloch leader seeks Bangladesh support

for Balochistan's independence

Self-exiled Baloch leader Mir Suleman Dawood Jan Ahmedzai, known as 'Khan of Kalat', has sought Bangladesh government's support in their effort to liberate Balochistan from what he termed as "Pakistan's occupation".
"They (Pakistan) are committing the same atrocities that they had committed with you," he told bdnews24.com in Dhaka on Wednesday, referring to Bangladesh's Liberation War against Pakistan in which 3 million were killed.
Ahmedzai has been staying in Britain since 2007 to gather international support for their cause of independent Balochistan. He was in Dhaka to take part in a seminar organised by the Centre for Genocide Studies at Dhaka University.
A popular leader across Balochistan, he is sometimes referred to as a 'king without his kingdom' by locals.
He said 'Pakistan occupied his country' in March 1948 and since then has been carrying out atrocities to suppress public uprisings.
The Balochistan issue returned to the spotlight in the region after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech in August pointed at human rights violations in the province. His comment was welcomed by Baloch leaders amid Islamabad's protest.
Ahmedzai said they were expecting "cooperation and diplomatic understanding of the situation they are going through" from Bangladesh so that Dhaka can take it up to the UN.
"The family of the present prime minister went through the same crisis and even worse," he said, referring to Bangladesh's founding father, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who led the independence movement.
Ahmedzai said he saw Bangabandhu in 1969 and again in 1970 when he was around six years old.
"We, Balochistan, cannot speak in the UN as we are not a member. We want members to speak for us," he said, adding that in 2012, during a human rights review session, the UN council rebuked Pakistan's foreign minister over Balochistan.
He bitterly criticised Pakistan, accusing it of "spreading terrorism from Manila to California with its army intelligence".
"Only difference between normal terrorists and Pakistani army is that they are wearing uniforms while the others are not. Both are terrorists. One has a shield of the government and the other one is a non-state actor," he said.
"Going to the background to who they back or finance, you will trace them in every terrorist link from Manila to California".
In Balochistan, they are committing atrocities on a daily basis, he said, adding that Pakistan adopted 'kill and dump' policy in Balochistan.
"More than 25,000 people are missing and over a million displaced. First people go missing and then they are found in the wilderness....tortured, bullet-ridden bodies".
"Our only plan is to regain independence for Balochistan. We are optimistic", he said.
"The sort of problems we are facing is like what you have faced before. You are lucky because of your fathers who made sacrifices and you got a country of yours. We are still sacrificing and we will also get our country."

These idiots from Bangladesh need to give up the idea of mosque-based fight for their rights in the USA. They should also stop bringing Allah in their imagination while fighting for their rights. They need to promote themselves to humans, as opposed to perpetuating their Muslim identity and fanaticism.

Muslim Politician Supports Introduction of Sharia Law in Germany
Sawsan Chebli seems to be an undercover Islamist. Screenshot YouTube
Nothing to see here; move along you darned Islamophobes!
A politician has controversially voiced her backing for Sharia law being introduced in Europe, calling it "absolutely comparable" with current legislation.
Absolutely comparable in what way exactly? Sharia demands that married individuals who cheat be stoned to death. To me, that doesn't seem very compatible with Germany law. After all, Germany has actually abolished the death penalty.
And how about the Sharia-prescribed punishment for theft -- cutting off the thief's hands? I'm all for a zero-tolerance policy, but modern European governments do not have the right to cause bodily harm to suspects (or convicted criminals, for that matter).
Another issue: rape. When a woman says she has been raped, Sharia demands she finds a couple of witnesses who can corroborate her story. If she doesn't find such witnesses, she can be put on trial herself, resulting in a very serious punishment.
The State Secretary for the Berlin government, Sawsan Chebli, defended Islamic law saying it can exist alongside Germany's Basic Law because it "largely regulates the relationship between God and man."
That, too, is simply not true. Sharia law is "divine" according to fundamentalist Muslims -- that is correct. But that doesn't mean it mostly focuses on the relationship between God and man. In fact, it focuses quite a bit on man's relationship with... man. Either Mrs. Chebli doesn't know what she's talking about, or she's lying through her teeth. In either case, she clearly is unfit for her role in Berlin's local government (seriously, she's actually state secretary? What a joke).
