Re: [mukto-mona] Extremists (Muslim and Non-Muslim) should STOP using fowl words and spreading hatred in blogs

I agree with you, Mr. SD.

Some of Dr. Pannah's numbered points are OK. But in a discussion forum, he needs to elaborate and defend his points. Abandoning the forum for some non-Muslims attacking him is pretty childish and immature.  My take with this man is that he rather wanted to flash his titles and freedom fighter's certificate than engaging in real debate with the members. His posts are pretty much monotonic without much variation. He simply ran out of ideas and words despite his academic certificates. They are pretty much useless for a forum like this. People are respected for their opinions and not for their golden crowns.
Personally, I would urge him to come back and write if he really wants to express his opinions?

Dr. Pannah,
You have set a very high expectation for yourself in coming to this forum. That's a problem. Usually, people from teaching profession exhibit such characteristics. Most people, in this forum, are talented people - so you should not expect that everybody will like you or your views.  I am sure, in due course, you will establish your place in the forum. I wish you would continue.....

Forgive me, if I have personally offended you in any way. All I want is open and free deliberations in the forum.

Dear Readers,

You have seen recently several postings from a Non-Muslim blogger spreading personal hatred against me.

Blogs should be used to exchange views in a meaningful way. Although using fowl words and spreading hatred in blogs are unethical but it became a norm somehow for few extremist bloggers to use fowl words and spreading hatred there.

Instead of spoiling time in fighting with the extremist bloggers, I want to retire from these unfriendly digital environment. Before saying GOODBYE to you, please allow me to submit, for the LAST time, the following requests, recommendations, and comments to my respectable Bangladeshi brothers and sisters (from all parties) for their kind considerations:

..........................................................................................................................................................................................
1. Neither the picketers attacking police nor police applying excessive force are acceptable -please save human lives
2. Bloggers should be duly punished if they write/say derogatory words against the sacred Islam/Holy Prophet (pbuh)
3. Hortal is a recipe for the destruction of Bangladesh economy and no political leader has the authority to call hortal
4. Please STOP hortal - you can stop working if you don't want to work but you must not violate others' right to work
5. All religious meeting places (Mosque, Temple, Pagoda, Church, Senegal, etc.) must be honored and protected
6. Non-Muslims are not necessarily Nastik as most of them believe in the creator in their own religious ways
7. Please let people of different religions and cultures live harmoniously in Bangladesh and in the world
8. Please STOP profanity and do not attack any religion - religions are sacred and must be honored
9. Please let religion be people's private affair and don't mingled sacred religions with state affairs
10. Bangladesh belongs to all Bangladeshis - Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, and others alike
11. Please don't destroy the hard-earned freedom of Bangladesh - let us save it jointly at any cost
12. Please maintain a good but mutually respectable relationship with all the neighboring countries
13. Please promote the freedom of speech - everybody has the right to speak but not to hurt others
14. Please compromise the political differences for the sake of the motherland - precious Bangladesh
15. Please STOP the extremism and be MODERATE - establish your right and honor the right of others
16. Bangladesh belongs to its men and women equally - nobody should try to suppress the women's rights
17. Bangladeshi women must be organized to protect them from the fanatics and to exercise their lawful rights
18. Please promote technical education in Bangladesh - don't stay behind as the world is moving fast in technology
19. Extremists (Muslim and Non-Muslim) should STOP spreading hatred - rather test their popularity in the elections
20. Create a congenial atmosphere for all parties to participate in election ensuring a truly representative government
21. Hold the next general election (as per schedule) free-and-fair under the observation of a strong international body
..........................................................................................................................................................................................

GOODBYE

With best regards,
Muktijodha Dr. Emarat Hossain Pannah

[mukto-mona] Man, Deported From Saudi Arabia For Being Too Handsome? (PHOTO)

Omar Borkan Al Gala, Emirati Man, Deported From Saudi Arabia For Being Too Handsome? (PHOTO)

Note to Justin Timberlake: If you're planning on bringing sexy back, don't bring it through Saudi Arabia.

The middle eastern country made headlines earlier this month after supposedlydeporting three men for being too handsome. (There were reportedly concerns their good looks would prove too tempting for Saudi women.) At the time, we had no names for the Emirati men and, therefore, no pictures of these gentlemen to corroborate the steamy allegations.

While we still have no official names, the Internet has run amok with speculation one of the men is Omar Borkan Al Gala, a self-described "photographer, actor, poet," whoposted a link to the story on Facebook and commented, "this is what written [sic] in newspapers in over the world :)."

(Photo via Flickr)

Conclusive proof? Hardly. Al Gala has yet to return inquiries from The Huffington Post, but plenty of other outlets have had fun with the rumors.

Jezebel croons, he's "really, really ridiculously good looking." And while New York Magazine also acknowledges a failure to confirm Al Gala is the guy, it is eager to "corroborate his dreaminess."

Regardless of the rumor's veracity, Al Gala seems seems happy to bask in the glow of the media attention, posting a series of glamour shots on Facebook and Flickr. (One minute he's posing mysteriously with a camel; the next, he's glancing just past the camera, wearing only a silver chain and a Mona Lisa smile.)

Should this all prove to be an opportunistic public relations stunt, as The Telegraph speculates, remains to be seen.
