[ALOCHONA] Pakistan court blocks move to release US man

Pakistan court blocks move to release US man

Pakistani police escort US national Raymond Davis (centre) to a court in Lahore on 28 January 2011 Raymond Davis says the men were trying to hijack his vehicle at gunpoint

Related Stories

A Pakistani court has ordered officials not to free a US citizen arrested for killing two men in Lahore last week.

The Lahore high court also ordered the government to place the name of Raymond Davis on the "exit control list" to prevent him from leaving Pakistan.
The US embassy has called for Mr Davis to be freed, saying he has diplomatic status and is immune from prosecution.
Mr Davis has admitted that he shot the men but says he acted in self-defence because they were trying to rob him.
He is in custody while police investigate the shooting and has been charged with the murder of the two men.
"I am restraining him [from being handed over to US authorities]. Whether he has or does not have [diplomatic] immunity will be decided by the court," the AFP news agency quoted Lahore chief justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry as saying.
"An order is issued to put his name on the exit control list. The case is adjourned for 15 days," he said.
Pakistan's government has asked the court for time to determine whether Mr Davis has diplomatic immunity or not. The authorities have previously said he is not among foreign security personnel authorised to carry firearms in the country.
Tougher stance
The US embassy in Islamabad has argued that he is a consulate employee who acted in "self-defence when confronted by two armed men on motorcycles" on 27 January.
Mr Davis is said to have told police that the motorcycle rider and his pillion passenger tried to hijack his vehicle at gunpoint.
As Mr Davis' colleagues came to his aid, their vehicle ran over and killed a third person.
Lawyers in Lahore have filed a petition to the High Court arguing that Mr Davis must stand trial in Pakistan and not be handed over to the US government.
The BBC's Syed Shoaib Hasan in Pakistan says that speculation is rife over the true position of Mr Davis.
Our correspondent says that the US authorities pursued a soft tone immediately following the incident, but they have now hardened their stance and argued that he should be released according to the Vienna Convention.
Pakistani authorities say it increasingly appears that Mr Davis was a private security contractor working for the US government in Pakistan.
They said that a Glock pistol was recovered from Mr Davis and that pistols were also found on the two men who were shot dead.
Mr Davis's permanent employer, according to the Huffington Post website, is a company called Hyperion Protective Consultants LLC based in Orlando, Florida.

[ALOCHONA] Bangobandhu Interntional Airport

Bangobandhu Interntional Airport

By M.Badruddoja,USA

Yes indeed it is high time to construct another international airport to recognize the father of the nation at the cost of human suffering, human hunger in one of the poorest country of the world. Bangladesh is surviving just begging money from the outside world and subsidies from the citizens who are working abroad. There is no question that Bangobandhu is the father of the nation. But definitely father neither kill the children nor keep them hungry at the cost of his comfort and pleasure. Nation may or not have forgotten the events of 1973 created by Bangubandhu, his entourage, his relatives and his offsprings.Country was hungry; people did not have any food.

There was real famine in the country. To protest that Moulana Bhasani went on hunger strike along with his few followers. They were lying on the floor with only one pillow and one bed sheet in top floor of a multi storied building in MotijheelCommercial Area with minimum living facilities. I had the opportunity to visit Moulana Bhasani while I was visiting Bangladesh as his doctor along with Professor AQM B.Chowdhury and Dr. Azizur Rahman FRCS, ex-health minister of autocratic Ershed regiem.Bangobandhu walked into the room asked Moulana Bhasani "SIR EAT SOMEHING".Moulana Bhasani shouted at him and told him "I WILL EAT WHEN ALL PEOPLE OF BANGLADESH WILL EAT .YOU GET OUT OF THIS ROOM". Sk Majubar Rahman left the room. In the midst of this calamity Bangabandu declared the creation of BAKSAL. Majority of us know the story of creation of Baksal in middle of 1973.He celebrated the creation of BAKSAL with pomp and grandeur presiding the function for whole day in a well decorated high rising building in Motijheel Commercial Are just few blocks from the building where Bhasani was observing hunger strike in protest of famine in the country.

On the other side of the curtain his son Sk. Kamal and his relatives and entourage took over the country. Sk Kamal used to travel in the city of Dhaka with an open jeep and doing all kinds of misdeed like robbing bank, picking up the young girls in his jeep by force. He was shot by police while attempted to rob bank as police did not know that the robber is the offspring of Bangobandhu. He was treated secretly in the IPGMR under Professor Nurul Islam a pro Awami League/Bksal follower. This is eye witness news. These are the causes of premature demise of the father of the nation along with his family. This incident was a political revolution and political assassination. However no one accepts the premature demise of father of the nation and his family as Allah (ST) is the one who decides who will survive and who will die. But unfortunately this has happen.

Now if any one analyses current political situation under these two Begums then one will realize that currently country is ruled by Baksal with different face mask. Begum Khaleda Zia did same thing as Bangobandu did and that is why both the offspring of Begum Zia is under deep trouble. However Sk. Hasina's children are out the country and living in North America as citizen of the country of their residence. But she is ruling the country in a hard fist as her father tried to do by attempting to create Baksal. But she has created Baksal in a different fashion. Whenever she becomes Prime Minister, her first job is to change the name of school, colleges, universities, meeting halls, bridges to his father's name. Her second job is to find out the killer of her family forgetting her responsibilities to the nation as head of the state. Her third job to to go to overseas countries to beg as beggar. Of course nothing wrong in begging as whole world knows that Bangladesh is a nation of beggar. Unfortunately she neither mentions the four very close associates of her father who were assassinated while in jail nor dedicates any any public property in their name. It is a real dichotomy as they were actively involved for creation of Bangladesh just like her father.

Now she is not happy with designating the name of colleges, universities etc.,etc in the name of his father. So she wants to create another international airport outside Dhaka as Bangobandhu International airport. Currently there are three international airports in Bangladesh and Bangladesh is

2

the size of the state of Illinois. State of Illinois has only one International airport. Dhaka international airport can handle 8000000 passengers per year. An airport is busy when every hour 60 or more aircraft

take off or lands in the run way. Currently Dhaka International Airport handles about 2000000 passengers. But statistics shows that Shah Jalal International airport handles only 10 aircraft per hour. So why the nation needs another airport? Probably just to glorify the departed father of the nation. How much it will cost to build such airport? Who will pay for such construction? This will cost about Tk.50 crores. But in reality it will cost Tk.100 crores.Who will pay the bill? Money will come from other countries like China and Middle Eastern Countries. Sk Hasina will to go to these countries as a beggar. These countries will feel sorry and they will donate. Prime Minister will need 25000 Acres of

land. That is almost one third or more area of the area of district of Munshingong or Manikgong. If Prime Minister SK. Hasina Mia acquires this much of land then what will happen to residence of these localities? Probably they will come to Dhaka and kind hearted prime minister will allow them to stay in her luxury house in Gulshan or in the official residence of Prime Minister and President Zillur Rahman. Big joke?? There will be tremendous influx of these displaced people in Dhaka City where already there no place to walk even. Lastly does she or her advisers/cabinet ministers know what will be the consequences of such acquisition of land? Currently unofficial population count of Bangladesh is 175 million. By year 2025 population of Bangladesh will be 200 million in a country the size of the sate of Illinois. Did she ever think what will happen in 2025? She may or may not decide the destiny of the nation in 2025.Of course if she survives then she will decide the fate of the nation as Bengali Nation knows nothing but two Begums.

In fact nation may go to their grave yards to consult after their demise from this Holy Land the Bangladesh. She will see that in year 2025 people will build their hurt in the Bangobandhu International Airport as due to enormous population growth aircraft will not be able to land in the Bangobandhu International Airport. Lastly but not the least what will happen to Shah Jalal International Airport? Will this airport and the employee will be orphan? Probably will be orphan. But will survive. My question to the nation but not to Prime Minister Sk. Hasina Mia that instead of constructing another airport can that TK 50-Tk 100 crore can be spend for the well being of the poor people. Yes it can be and probably departed soul of Bangobandhu will be pleased to se that.

Also I understand that Bangobandu City will be built near the new airport. Who will reside there? The relatives of cabinet ministers and their enterouge will live their where poor gramin bhai used to live and used to make their daily living. They will be destitute just like "DI BIGHA JAMI OF TAGORE. What abeautiful democratic country????? .It is Baksal country of Bangobandu with different face mask.

It seems to me that Honorable Prime Minister Sk. Hasina Mia wants to change the name of every public property to her father's name "BANGOBANDHU".Such attempt to change of the name of every public property as BANGOBANDHU will be very expensive. I think most inexpensive way to show respect to the father of the nation is to change the name f the country as" MUJIB DESH".Sorry, then what will happen to the second Begum. So best solution is let North Bengal be "ZIA DESH' and East Bengal be" MUJIB DESH "and this will emancipate the nation. Then nation need not to memorize the names of airports, buildings, universities, colleges and various other institutions as there will not be any change of the name of the institutions, building and airports as those names of the public property will be permanent. Currently the names of public properties are changed with the arrival of new government. As for example the name of Zia International Airport which was existing for almost 29 years is changed to Shah Jalal International Airport as soon Sk. Hasina Mia took over the power. In fact I had trouble to buy ticket for my journey to Dhaka through internet as internet told no such airport by name Shah Jalal airport exists in Bangladesh.

Are the two Begums honest? Probably not. One begum while under so called custody of the care taker government, her doctors claimed that due to her hearing problem she may succumb to death if she does not get treatment in USA.I have never heard that a person dies due to loss of hearing. Not only she is dishonest her physicians are also dishonest. But as soon as she arrived in USA, she is not sick anymore and did extensive travel both in USA and outside USA.Where did she get the fund? Nation gave her. Second Begum stayed home though she was sick as she does not have visa of USA and other begum has

probably Immigrant Visa of USA.However nation likes both of them and nation kisses their feet twice a day. This is real good news. But it is real fact that currently country is ruled by Baksal as per desire of Bangobandhu but in a different face mask.

[ALOCHONA] From Wikileaks to Hillaryleak

From Wikileaks to Hillaryleak

Shafik Rehman

On 28 November 2010, website Wikileaks and its five international
associates, namely, The New York Times, The Guardian, EI Pais, Der
Spiegel and Le Monde, began to publish serially "Secret US Diplomatic
Cables". Worldwide repercussions followed and world politics looked a
bit different. The US government was embarrassed. Information
published by Wikileaks were considered to be true.

On the contrary, transcript of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's
telephone conversation with Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina
published on 16 January 2011, has raised doubts about its credibility.
Photocopies of this transcript (in English) have been circulating. Two
English newspapers, an English weekly and a Bengali newspaper
published abridged version of the transcript. But, the question
remained, is this transcript, which may be termed Hillaryleak true?
Not just Awami League supporters have dismissed it as untrue, but some
BNP supporters have expressed doubts as well. So, is Hillaryleak true?

Before going into that, I would like to mention about Art Buchwald who
was the top satirist of the last six decades. In 1925, he was born in
an Austrian-Hungarian Jewish family in New York. His father was a
tailor and very poor. Buchwald was sent to an orphanage. After some
years, Buchwald returned home. At 17, he left home and joined the US
Army. During World War II he was at the Pacific. After the war, he
chose journalism as his profession. He left US and went to Paris.
There he joined as an editorial staff of the European version of The
New York Herald Tribune. Since then he became highly popular by
writing humorous but sharp, satirical yet humanitarian, analytical yet
easy reading socio-political columns. In 1962 Buchwald returned to US.
Tribune Media Syndicate began publishing Buchwald's column in 550
newspapers simultaneously on both sides of the Atlantic. Buchwald's
column became an institution. For readers with sense of humour and
political consciousness, Buchwald's column became a must read. In 1982
Buchwald was awarded Pulitzer Prize.

I was introduced to Buchwald's writings in early '80s. In 1979, I
returned to Dhaka from London and felt the absence of good newspaper
in Bangladesh. We had to depend on BBC World Service radio for
international news. At that time I began to read International Herald
Tribune and was deeply attracted to Buchwald's column. I noticed, he
was the only columnist who could write by mixing fictitious dialogue
with facts. Of course, not all his writings were of this type. But,
often he wrote fictitious dialogue based satirical columns. It is now
said, after Jonathan Swift (1667-1745) who wrote Gulliver's Travels,
Art Buchwald was the topmost political satirist.

In April 1980, I began writing a weekly column, Jaijaidin, in a
Bengali weekly, Sometimes, I began to follow Buchwald's technique. In
1984, I began editing-publishing weekly Jaijaidin and there I began
writing a weekly political column, called Diner Par Din. Occasionally,
I wrote dialogue based columns. They were popular with the readers,
but disliked by the rulers. Weekly Jaijaidin was banned first in 1985
and then in 1986. One of the reasons was, in Diner Par Din column, I
published a fictitious dialogue between the then president HM Ershad
and his foreign minister. I was sent to exile in London. I realised
how dangerous it could be to write fictitious political dialogue.

I continued to read Art Buchwald's columns and came to the conclusion,
to avoid such dangers, the columnist must have deep knowledge on his
characters, his power of imagination should be strong and maximum
precaution must be taken in this kind of writings. In short, this is a
difficult art to muster.

That is why, although in US and UK there are so many good columnists,
we do not see someone like Art Buchwald who can write imaginary
political dialogue.

And on this logic, I would say, tele-talks published in Hillaryleak
may be true. Had there been a Bangladeshi writer who is capable of
writing such imaginary tele-dialogue, we would have known long before.
Had there been an American or a British columnist who is capable of
writing such imaginary tele-talk, we would have read his columns long
before.

So, the question is why some people are hesitant to accept Hillaryleak as true?

To answer that, we shall have to consider Hillaryleak's contents which
can be broadly divided into seven parts. Now read on.

One: After preliminary exchange of greetings Secretary of State said,
Madame Prime Minister I have been updated by Ambassador-at-Large
Stephen Rapp about his visit to Dhaka. Honestly, at the request of New
Delhi, we sent him there and tried our best to help you better
organise the trial. After listening from Amb. Rapp and our Ambassador
Moriarty, I felt obligated to inform you that both I and President
Obama take the issue of human rights in its proper spirit. It is on
this context, I called you to inform you that United States does not
support the trial in its form and content. Bangladesh has to reform
the whole process in a way so that it doesn't become a conduit of
punishing opposition.

Comment: On 13 January 2011, in a press briefing in Dhaka Ambassador
Rapp said that US attaches importance on a fair and transparent war
crimes trial and on amending the law regarding International War
Crimes Tribunal. So, nothing new came out here. The new information is
Ambassador Rapp was sent to Dhaka at the request of New Delhi.

Two: In reply, Prime Minister said, Madame Secretary, I understand
your concern and I already asked my Law Minister to take note of what
Amb. Rapp suggested. This is a trial we undertook with active support
and assistance of New Delhi. I am sure Indian Ambassador in Washington
DC will brief you further on that.

Comment: It was generally regarded that the Prime Minister had begun
the trial with active support and assistance of New Delhi. So, here
too nothing new has come out. The new information is, the role of
Indian Ambassador in Washington is significant.

Three: Secretary then said, Prime Minister, United States stands for a
certain values and policies which may or may not be the likes of New
Delhi. Of course, we have been attentive to New Delhi's most of the
suggestions but this one I thought I should forewarn you.

Prime Minister replied, Madame Secretary we noted your concerns and
can tell you this much that this was in our manifesto and our people
would like to see the trial should go on.

Comment: There is no new revelation. Hasina has always been saying,
people would like to see this trial to go on.

Four: Secretary then said, absolutely, but that has to be done in a
way so that it is accepted internationally. I am sure, even people who
voted for your party, may not accept the trial in its form and format
which is, to our view, flawed and politically motivated. President
Obama working hard to bring peace to your part of the world, Madame
Prime Minister. Therefore, United States would not allow any action
that may only help some legitimate political forces going underground
to create more problem for you and thereby, for us as well.

Prime Minister replied, I understand. I understand. Don't worry we
will fix it. Don't take it that seriously. We are doing it as we have
to do and there are some culprits who we need to straighten up.

Comment: Recently, US foreign policy has been changing to some extent.
You can understand that when you see Secretary of State Hillary
Clinton is apparently supportive of the Egyptian people who are
demonstrating against President Mubarak. The US does not want
punishing religion-based parties on the pretext of weeding out
terrorists. US now knows, such repressive measures against religion
based political parties may drive party activists into underground and
in this jet age, revengeful terrorists may arrive in US and pursue
terrorism there. So, the US wants politics to remain open where
religion based parties may participate without fear. But note, Prime
Minister said, the matter should not be taken seriously. Can the Prime
Minister say this in public? Of course, she is serious. That is why
all the top leaders of Jamaat are in jail.

Five: Secretary then said, Ambassador Rapp also informed me about your
government's influence on the judiciary and I was told how judiciary
is giving verdict the way you want. This is not good at the end. You
have to be watchful.

Prime Minister replied, thank you, thank you. I always value
suggestion from yourself and President Clinton.

Comment: Everybody knows that the judiciary has been set up. The US
also knows it. That is why secretary is forewarning that such a
judiciary may be bad for the country at the end.

Six: Secretary then said, Madame Prime Minister, let me come to the
core point for which I called you. As you have seen even Washington
Post picked up your treatment to Dr. Yunus and Grameen Bank. I thought
it is about time to tell you how upset we are in Washington DC. I am
personally upset because Dr. Yunus has been a family friend to the
Clintons long before his wining of Nobel Prize. President Clinton is
equally upset. Hope you are aware how hard he worked to see Dr. Yunus
gets this award. I know people may have personal issues, but when it
comes to national icon like Dr. Yunus, I thought Bangladesh shouldn't
demonise country's only Nobel Laureate.

Prime Minister tried to stop her. Madame Secretary, please listen,
please listen …

But Secretary continued, Madame Prime Minister, please let me finish
first. I hope you are aware that President Obama is a big fan of
micro-credit. He is a fan of microfinance since his mother had her
thesis on this subject. So, I am making this call to let you know how
upset both of us — President Obama and I — at your continued effort to
demonise Dr. Yunus.

Prime Minister replied, Madame Secretary, I hope you are aware that it
is not us who brought up this issue. Norway is the first to complain
about Dr. Yunus' misplaced fund. After all, this is our domestic issue
and Madame Secretary we will do it as per our own rules and
regulations.

Comment: It is well known that Dr Yunus has a close relationship with
Clinton family. Also known to some is that Bill Clinton had put his
efforts to secure a Nobel Prize for Dr Yunus. What has now been
revealed by this tele-talk is current President Obama is also a fan of
Dr Yunus and Obama's mother had written a thesis on micro-credit
finance. Note that, Prime Minister blamed Norway's initiative. But she
did not say Norway had investigated and cleared Dr Yunus before
awarding him Nobel Prize. Neither did the Prime Minister say that the
prime drive of the documentary telecast in a Norwegian television was
to criticise the concept of micro-credit. Although, Prime Minister did
not mention these, clearly Secretary was aware of the real position.

Seven: After this, Secretary said, Madame Prime Minister, I thought I
would not have to go that far. But, unfortunately, I was wrong. I hope
you know as much we know, how your government came to power. Don't
forget that we helped you by congratulating you after the election
terming it as a free and fair. You know Prime Minister, how this
election result was pre-arranged at the behest of our good friends in
New Delhi. We acted the way they suggested us. And please don't forget
that Gen. Moeen, who brought you to power, now in the USA and perhaps,
we now know, more than you could possibly imagine. Prime Minister, I
am not saying that we will disown you so soon. I am just trying to
place issues in the order of history demands it.

At this point, Prime Minister tried to change the subject and said,
Madame Secretary we are aware of your support and assistance. We will
do all we can to keep you happy. Don't worry. We noted your point. Now
let me know when you are coming to visit my country.

Secretary replied, Thanks for the invitations, Madame Prime Minister.
I thank you for your time.

Prime Minister said, Madame Secretary, please bring President Clinton
and your daughter and son in law.

Hilary hangs up on the other side …

Comment: It was generally understood that Awami League had won the
last election (December 2008) with the help of General Moeen and
India. But, it was unknown how much support was given by US to Awami
League.

The two most significant information to emerge from Hillaryleak are:
a. the results of the elections were pre-arranged, and
b. US had supported this.

So, this then was the main points of Hillaryleak. Those who are saying
that this is not reliable are arguing that the full identity of the
source is not known and the language of the Secretary is not
befitting.

First, consider the source. It was published in Facebook on 16 January
2011 at 10:28 am by Hidden Truth. Obviously, people behind Hidden
Truth did not wish to take risks like that of Julian Assange and
refrained from publishing their real identity.

Note the date and time of the publication.

Prime Minister's Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad in a press statement
said, Secretary had telephoned Prime Minister on Saturday 15 January
2011 at 9:30 am (BST). It was then 8:30 pm in Washington DC on Friday
14 January 2011, After this tele-talk, the transcript was published in
US on Sunday 16 January at 10:28 am Washington DC time. In other
words, in US, people concerned, had 36 hours to take action on Mr
Azad's statement. Clearly, concerned people in US were deeply annoyed
because something quite opposite regarding the tele-talk had been
stated by Mr Azad. He claimed Secretary of State had praised the Prime
Minister and had promised to act jointly on different issues.

Perhaps that is why, someone in US, who was informed and concerned,
disclosed the text of tele-talk in the Facebook.

Regarding the Secretary's language, anybody who had been listening to
her regularly, will know, terms such as, absolutely, honestly,
conduit, demonise, let me come to the core point, are typically hers.
She also called Clinton as President Clinton. Because, once elected
President of US, he is always called President. The Secretary knows
this. She also knows that President Obama's mother had written a
thesis on micro-credit financing. Not many people (American or
Bangladeshi) would have known this.

And, Prime Minister's language is also typically hers. Note that how
she repeats, I understand I understand, thank you thank you, please
listen please listen.

Actually, Bangladeshis already know about the close relationship of
Awami League with India and that India has been assisting the
government on many issues.

Hillaryleak has merely confirmed what was widely known. So, why
hesitate to accept it as true? Why be reluctant to accept that the
2008 election results were pre-arranged?

We should understand that, that is why Sheikh Hasina after returning
from US in November 2008, decided to contest in the December election,
but did hardly do any election campaign. Whilst her rival, BNP
Chairperson criss-crossed some 10,000 km in two weeks, Sheikh Hasina
stayed back in Dhaka conducting video conferencing. Sheikh Hasina knew
strenuous campaign was unnecessary, a pre-arranged win was waiting.

People will judge whether Hillaryleak is true. It is curious that so
far US has not given any rejoinder on this.

However, if Hillaryleak is true, then we must conclude that, December
2008 election did not bring back democracy — conspiracy was
established.

But where does that leave the Election Commission?

Before answering that, let me go back to Art Buchwald. Due to kidney
failure Buchwald died on 17 January 2007 at age 81.

He wrote his own video obituary which was published the next day by
The New York Times. It showed Buchwald smiling and saying, "Hi, I'm
Art Buchwald. I just died".

Perhaps, after the publication of Hillaryleak, the Election Commission
may say, "Hi, we're Election Commission. We just died".

But, does the Election Commission have the honesty and sense of humour
like Art Buchwald?

Re: [ALOCHONA] China Mulls Building Hydroelectric Dams in Southern Tibet

This is a project where India and Bangladesh could worked as a team if they had better relationship. China wins and a loss for India and Bangladesh.

China Mulls Building Hydroelectric Dams in Southern Tibet

In a move that is sure to prove increasingly controversial as the details become more fleshed out, Chinese officials in Lhasa, Tibet have indicated that they are considering developing a series of dams in southern Tibet.
The Guardian reports that the director of the region's water resource department said, "Tibet is rich in water resources and has good potential for setting up more hydropower stations and dams. With the economic development of Tibet we need more resources. We will take great care in protecting Tibet's natural life and consider the [impact] on society."
Though the exact number of dams being considered has not been specified, the proposal has already aroused opposition:
Relocation Can't Compensate for Environmental, Spiritual Disruption
The Guardian quoted Tibetan water resource researcher Tashi Tsering of the University of British Columbia:
The rivers and mountains where these dams will be built and new reservoirs will inundate are often considered sacred. Resettlement cannot solve the issue.
Tsering also indicated that the impact assessments also fail to account for the changes in water quality and the role free flowing rivers have in an ecosystem.
Millions Downstream Depend on Tibet's Rivers
The Tibetan plateau is the location of the origin of many of the sacred rivers of Asia; over their lengths hundreds of millions of people depend on them for their livelihoods. As global warming increases, the amount of water feeding into these rivers is likely to decrease, adding another stress factor on these waterways and the people who live near them.
Chinese studies estimate that in Tibet alone 1,800-billion kWh of electricity could be generated from hydropower.

[ALOCHONA] Tunisia, Dictators and our so called patriots

Tunisia, dictators and our so called patriots

1.      In my country, many thing that goes against country's interest either local or international, supporters of injustice and corrupts  will not speak or say anything. When AL is in power the supporters of AL will also never speak against its atrocities or wrong doing. Also when it comes to the matters with India as if they have free cheque, does not matter how negatively it impacts our interests.

I can understand the direct political activists who has to loose his conscious, freedom and can't speak against party line but those who always say 'can you find my name in AL' always provide unwavering support to the party. They may be good for the party but can't be taken as a supporters of common good of our country.

Humayun Ahmed will write, how much harm associates with a BNP hartal or its usual wrong action but will never speak when it comes to AL. The great poet, writers (with due respect to them) drop no tears when our country shed blood under AL or its staunch allies India's foreign policy.  Even west's manipulation gets no attention from them. But day and night they are talking about Bangladesh and its well being and managed to establish themselves as front runners on 'desh prem' same like those so called protégé of democracy, human rights and justice in the west.

2.     Tnunisia issue now taken as a syndrome as it is unfolding in other neighboring countries. Ben Ali now criticized or not-sympathized by those whose support were and still is, crucial for tyrants and dictators.

Iran's Shah was ousted but failed to find refuge in the country who help killed the democratically elected government and put him in power and supported upto the moment people's rise against him.

Without France, USA or EU's support Ben Ali wouldn't have tortured, oppressed his people and loot the public wealth. (this looted wealth always find save heaven in Swiss or West's bank account). All the dictators, tyrant rulers- ruling, ousted or demised, enjoyed a strong link and all out support from the countries who always decries democracy and human rights. In general they are 'the West'.

I hope readers would agree following were the well known dictators – Augusto Pinochet, Manuel Noriega, Ferdinanz  Marcos and so on. They are well known for their human right violations and loot, yet Pinochet, who killed more than 2000, tortured 32 thousand and made disappear 3 thousand i.e who orchestrated 'Caravan of Death' found a palace and live like a king in England and the Queen's government made every effort not to touch him. This dictator had 125 securities and bank accounts at Riggs Bank and other U.S. financial institutions.

Noriega who was formally US trained military, was under CIA payroll and even had a strong connection with Colombian drug dealing.

Who does not know Marcos's wealth (deposited in Swiss banks safely) and his despised wife's 'shoe' boxes. The west kept and use them until the people power (the real and natural democratic values) kick them out of power.

Saddam Hossain's farm rule easily traced with USA's foreign policy.  Ironically, yet he was illegality  ousted and brutally killed along with his family and associates by the same ally. His country is made a killing field, drenched in human blood today.

When one talks about Ben Ali's  corruptions, loot and oppression should speak about his strategic alliances and supports-France and US. But that is mysteriously missing. It is not that they fail to grasp it, it is their deliberate attempt to save those who perpetrated the same crime by helping the dictators.

If one of you listened to 'Tony Blair' in BBC yesterday (28.1.11)  while Cairo's street were under control of the middle class and peasants and labourers,  can understand how disturbing the uprising was to him. Frustration of losing the staunch ally can be figured out easily in his arguments. The massive aid (around 2 billions annually) given by USA astoundingly mainly for military (1.3 billion/a) not for development. This dictator's fall means a lot to USA, Israel and whole ME.

3.     It is believed by many, EU and USA were manipulating our affairs openly with the connivance of a local media group and AL and installed an illegal government for 2 years.

Hussain Muhammad Ershad ruled for nine years and were ousted not by US's or EU's negotiation for democracy but people's uprising effectively supported by BNP.

Bangabandhu's weak government was further crippled by PLO 480 that caused a massive famine in 74.

4.     We never had a strong and popular nationalist government, than again we do not have a strong civil society that voice for our common concerns. (successful machination crippled knowledge and literary capacity at its low ebb- read the Op-eds and see the situation in our Unis since the birth of our nation) Due to other's foreign policy a strong supporting group that reign in our culture and literature, provide an unwavering support for them. This dominant group always talk about 'Bangladesh', our future our development but put all machination in place when it comes to their mentor's interest.

They will not speak as Tony Blair or Barak Hossain Obama or Sarcozy  did not speak before the fall of all dictators.

A natural, un-instigate uprising can help us sort out our own matters led by peasants, labours and unemployed but not by those elite in centre of Dhaka.

Thanks for reading

Haque

Re: [ALOCHONA] Mohamed ElBaradei: Globalist Pied Piper Of The Egyptian Revolt

BARADI  IS NOTHING BUT THE SAME WINE IN NEW BOTTLE SINCE HE ALWAYS BLEW THE WESTERN HORN N DESTROYED IRAQ N NOW STATIONED IN ME TO ..........

Mohamed ElBaradei: Globalist Pied Piper Of The Egyptian Revolt

By Paul Joseph Watson

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss:
Soros and Brzezinski prepare to hijack the revolution

The revolt in Egypt is an organically driven people-power movement to oust a dictator, restore universal freedoms, and wrestle the country free from the clutches of the US military-industrial complex, but the man now being positioned to form a new government is a pied piper working for the very same globalists and NGO's that autocrat leader Hosni Mubarak has dutifully served for nearly 30 years.

Make no mistake about it, under the current regime Egypt is a vassal state for the new world order. Under Mubarak, the country receives some $2 billion in aid every year from the United States, second only to Israel. In addition, Egypt pays out $1.1 million annually to the Podesta Group, an organization closely tied with the Obama administration, to act as "foreign agents" for Mubarak's regime.

Mubarak's loyalty to the US empire was reciprocated this week when Vice-President Joe Biden ludicrously asserted that Mubarak's unbroken 30 year reign did not represent a dictatorship and that he was a close ally of the west.

"Egypt under Mubarak uses its billions in U.S. military aid to detain, beat and torture dissenters, opposition politicians and journalists; many have died in custody," writes Mark Zepezauer. "Thousands of political prisoners and pro-democracy activists are held in overcrowded, disease-ridden prisons, without charges or trials. Press restrictions, including newspaper shutdowns, are widespread."

Which is why it makes no sense whatsoever for the CIA to be involved in contriving a series of riots that would destabilize and threaten to topple a regime loyal to them. This is not the type of staged "color revolution" that we've witnessed before in places like Georgia, the Ukraine or Yugoslavia – orchestrated events disguised as spontaneous uprisings intended to remove rogue leaders hostile to the global elite's agenda for world government.

This is a grass roots movement being carried out by impoverished young Egyptians finally standing up in unison to a regime that toadies to the west yet allows its people none of the freedoms associated with living in a modern and prosperous nation. But that doesn't mean the revolution we currently see unfolding on the streets of Alexandria, Cairo, Suez and cannot be co-opted by the very same globalist forces who have been pulling Mubarak's strings for the past three decades.

The US military-industrial complex has known for at least three years that Egypt was teetering on the verge of regime change, and they certainly were not going to let anyone outside parties take control after Mubarak's fall. That's why the American Embassy trained rebel leaders to infiltrate opposition groups from the very beginning, as the Telegraph reveals today.

Enter former top UN official and staunch Mubarak adversary Mohamed ElBaradei, who recently returned to Cairo in a bid to lead the protest movement.

ElBaradei serves on the Board of Trustees of the International Crisis Group, who today issued a press release protesting the decision on behalf of Egyptian authorities to place ElBaradei under house arrest.

International Crisis Group is a shadowy NGO (non-governmental organization) that enjoys an annual budget of over $15 million and is bankrolled by the likes of Carnegie, the Ford Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, as well as George Soros' Open Society Institute. Soros himself serves as a member of the organization's Executive Committee. In other words, this is a major geopolitical steering group for the global elite.

The fact that their man ElBaradei is being primed to head up the post-Mubarak government should set alarm bells ringing in the ears of every demonstrator who is protesting in the name of trying to wrestle Egypt away from the clutches of new world order control.

Indeed, even Mubarak himself is now seemingly catching on to the understanding that his usefulness to the global power elite has run its course, remarking during a national address Saturday that the protests were "part of a bigger plot to shake the stability and destroy the legitimacy" of the political system.

Even more ironic is the fact that another powerful globalist who sits on the board of International Crisis Group, Zbigniew Brzezinski, warned last year that the international hierarchy of which he is a key component was under threat from a "global awakening" that would be led by young radicals in third world countries. Having accurately predicted the wave of revolt now spreading like wildfire across the globe, Brzezinski and his fellow globalists are preparing to pick up the pieces in order to continue business as usual, while the people who risked their lives for real change will be the victims of a monumental deception. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

If the Egyptians are successful in toppling Mubarak, only to replace him with ElBaradei, they will have achieved nothing, and the eventual outcome will merely see Egypt remain as a subservient client state of the US military-industrial complex.
