It's a matter of serious concern. A few weeks before we have seen a UK NGO is working against interest of garments industry. Now; looks like an organized and planned action plan is at work to destroy the garments industry of Bangladesh. There are legitimate concern of labors being exploited and lake of of initiative from the management to boost the low morale of the industry workers. The innocent workers even do not know who they are being played by -- even though apparently they show empathy to the plight of the garment workers. Owners and concerned agencies must resolve and reach a collaborative agreement for the benefit of all parties.
Open and a friendly conversation between management and workers shall help to understand the realities of the state of business. Communication among them should be seamless and effective. Owners must be willing to share profits in the form of bonus which could play a vital role to resolve some of their economic hardship. Besides; management should also work to provide workers pension plan,health insurance,subsidy for food and education. There should be a collaborative relationship among all parties. The owners must take these initiatives. It's possible keeping production cost low and competitive. It's all about attitude and management excellence.
Instead of digging into past mistakes all parties work together to plan for future and act upon them.
