As a Canadian, it amuses me to see the rush to the Barack Obama
bandwagon.
What does Obama have that the others do not have? The answer is NOTHING
of substance.
Obama is an evangelical preacher! He can stand before an audience and
talk
a good talk. And, once again, all who are waiting for the messiah
believe their
god is on his way and the preacher has the inside track.
Those who are not waiting for the Messiah are willing to talk about
the Emperor's
wonderful clothes, even though they know the Emperor has no clothes.
Those
individuals are the real culprits. They are the ones who were too
scared to question
the Iraq War.
The truth is evangelical preachers do not have to be leaders. It is a
rare talker
that can translate talk into action. Evangelicals have no need for
action because
the only action needed will be in the hereafter.
The President of the US needs to direct current events. Talk is not
enough!
Come to think of it, perhaps actions may not be required. What would
happen
if the universe unfolded as it would? I wonder!
