In a time when Nobel Laureats grace the human stage
One man's name is missing, a man who sensed the rage
Of rulers mired in conlict and power's heavy game,
Who for their selfish motives would risk a world aflame.
Mordechai Vanunu, shed a country's heavy hand,
Looked for the right occasion and took a moral stand.
Risking life and freedom, the hate and lies exposed,
Laid bare the secret weapons in clear and open prose.
Shock and deep resentment covered up their eyes
Lured him back to face the wrath, much to his surprise.
From the visual field of mortals, they quickly distanced him
To bleak incarceration known to slay the hearts of men.
Courage and defiance shaped a yearning to be free,
Pined to be gone, to leave that land, but it is not to be.
