I completely agree with the idea of the National Unity Government in Bangladesh, in stead of opening up a can of worms in the name of elction when the country is not prepared for it. The people are not ready for the democracy yet. Holding election is the easiest part of a democratic system. For democracy to survive, the people needs to be aware of the fact that they are the ultimate source of power, and government is there to serve them. Politicians need to be accountable to the people, and bureaucrats need to be accountable to the system. These conditions do not exist in Bangladesh. The care taker government has initiated the process; let it run its own course through a national unity government consisting of non-political well educated and experienced people.
