You all know my beloved son Asif Rahman as a good young man, but he had many talents which you might not know. His short life was full of activities. He has accomplished so much in such a short time. He earned love and affection from so many people which is amazing.
I am currently working with some council members and the transportation alternatives department to get a bike route installed on Queens Boulevard in honor of Asif for the safety of other bicyclsits. Meanwhile, a ghost bike has been installed at the accident spot by the Visual Resistance Organization to protest the killing of innocent bicyclists by reckless drivers. This organization will hold a memorial and a press conference at the spot some time soon.

Also, there will be a memorial for Asif to celebrate his life and works on June 21st in Jamaica. At this event Asif's works will be on display which includes photographs, paintings, poems, videos of his performances and his music. His friends will do spoken word performance, music and talk about him. We'd like to release his music CD on this day. We are also working to publish a book of poetry of Asif.
