Dear Friends,
The Bangladesh Unity Federation of Los Angeles (BUFLA) has now elected its 5 Officers (The Cabinet). The one month long BUFLA election process has ended this week in Los Angeles. There were no candidacy system in this election. The 28 Presidents (or their Reps) of 28 different organizations elected their BUFLA President and 4 other Officers out of a total of 112 community leaders in a secret ballot process by postal mailing. The 5 officer positions are: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Public Relations. The results are in the Circular #6 of the Election Commission, as copied below.
It was a very creative election process, and the ballot counting ceremony was attended by many community leaders, the Press & Media, and also the Honorable Consul General. The election results were well-received by the general community and the happiness of unity and festive celebration continued into the night. This election process itself was also very well-received by the entire BUFLA team, which was very secret, very open, very transparent, very neutral, very trustworthy, very reliable, very fair, where everyone had a chance. I believe with this successful and creative election process functionally in place, the second largest Bangladesh community of USA in Los Angeles is on its way to achieve a higher ground.
A festive inauguration ceremony is coming up next month in July. The cabinet will inform you in time. So, please stay tuned.

There are many people who worked very hard for the success of BUFLA during the last two years. However, the results of the election clearly show that the voters picked some of the most hardworking members of the team, who contributed very significantly for the success of BUFLA I wholeheartedly congratulate all 5 winners who got elected and who received the recognition from the team that they deserved. Some of the team members came very close to being elected, and several other team members were well-recognized by the voters. For them, I have the best wishes that they have a just and fair chance for next year. So, let us all work hard, work sincerely, and work diligently for the success of Unity in our community and beyond, and I am sure the voters will see it every time.
For any organizations who have not joined BUFLA yet, this is an open invitation for you join this team of Unity. This is a great time for you to rush and join this platform of Unity, a platform that is open, fair, neutral, mutually respectful, trustworthy, a platform that follows discipline, has a constitution that it follows, and it continually strives to uplift and highlight the values of unity.
As I have stated before for more than once that, I believe that every Bangladeshi individual is a TREASURE OF WISDOM, regardless of wherever they are, in Bangladesh or anywhere else in the world. So, if we can unite everyone in the Unity platform, we can rise above many differences, we can achieve great things, we can conquer the mountains, and we can fly in the sky !!!
