According to report, 794 Bangladeshis were also abducted during the period and 89 of them went missing.
The report was released at a time when the home ministers of SAARC countries were holding a summit in New Delhi and the directors general of the border guards of Bangladesh and India were set to begin a conference in Dhaka today.
On August 2, home secretary Md Abdul Karim met his Indian counterpart to discuss various issues, including border violence by the BSF.
But August was the bloodiest month of this year with killing of 12 Bangladeshis by the BSF, the report said. During the period from January to October this year, violence also continued taking place in the bordering districts. Twenty-two people were killed in Satkhira while 13 in Naogaon, 10 in Thakurgaon and 9 in Jessore.
The report said 89 Bangladeshis were detained by the BSF but not handed over to the Indian law enforcement agency.
The number of Bangladeshis abducted in these incidents reached its peak in September.
Push-in of Bangla-speaking Indian nationals into Bangladeshi territory is also continued. According to the report, 181 people were pushed in during the period.
