[mukto-mona] God authorized Iraq War, says McCain's running mate Palin

God authorized Iraq War, says McCain's running mate Palin

The more I read facts about Gov. Sarah Palin in "liberal media," the more I cringe in fear.  Do Americans want to place McCain-Palin into the catbird seat of power in Washington DC?  Look at the world today.  The neo cons supported Bush's candidacy both in 2000 and 2004.  Mr. Karl Rove wrote the script on behalf of them and other Christian fundamentalists on how to defeat the liberal-leaning "leftist" candidates such as Al Gore and John Kerry.  While respect for Al Gore is skyrocketing because of his cause Global Warming and John Kerry for his role in the senate to promote liberal causes, George Bush-Dick Cheney's popularity had plummeted in the public opinion poll.

The Bush-Cheney duo had mislead millions of Americans in believing that Saddam Hussein had amassed a vast amount of WMD (weapons of mass destruction), which the world has never seen before.  The truth to the matter is that the Iraq War was forced upon Americans with a hidden agenda.  When Bush was elected for the first time in November 2000, he said that on historical basis the oil price was too low.  I myself had read that news.  Bush was in his Ranch at Crawford, Texas trying to assemble a cabinet when to the press he said that gas price was too cheap as compared to other commodities.  Since both Bush and Cheney and their families' assets were tied up with crude petroleum industries, it makes sense why Bush wanted to see the price of crude petroleum go up.  Perhaps, earlier in his administration a plan was enacted to disrupt the crude petroleum supply.  Remember when Cheney was given the task to take opinions from petroleum executives he assembled a meeting to formulate the nation energy policy.  When the press wanted to know the list of participants and the agenda of the meeting, the answer came right away – "bug off."  Up until now the Americans have no clues as to who attended that 2001 meeting in Dick Cheney's office and what was being discussed.

Later, Dick Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, Condoleezza Rice, a few other die-hard Republicans concocted the plan to attack Iraq.  The opportunity came once the terrorists attacked such American symbols as the Twin Tower and Pentagon.  On March 19, 2003 when the U.S. army under order from Mr. Bush initiated the war to execute a "regime change" in Baghdad, his office issued a press release that started as follows:  "My fellow citizens, at this hour, American and coalition forces are in the early stages of military operations to disarm Iraq, to free its people and to defend the world from grave danger."

The "regime change" in Baghdad happened as soon as American GIs captured the Iraqi capital.  Much water had flown through the Tigress and Euphrates since the early days of invasion.  And now we know the fact that Saddam had not stockpiled any WMD nor did he finance the dreaded Al-Qaeda organization.  But the mission was accomplished.  The crude oil price had peaked to $ 147 per barrel on July 11, 2008.  Now it is well over $ 120 per barrel.  The Bush and Cheney family is smiling cheek-to-cheek because their oil portfolio had gone through the roof.

When the world learned in thorough details how the Iraq War was waged with faulty intelligence gathering, and the hope for recapturing the White House by Republican candidate looks dismal, the Republicans are hosting their convention at St. Paul (Minnesota) to anoint McCain as the party's nominee.  Senator McCain had selected a political neophyte by the name Sarah Pailn as his running mate.  McCain campaign had surely vetted Ms. Palin for the position of vice president, but the press has started that process and they have opened a can of worms, so to speak.

Gene Johnson, an Associated Press writer, penned a piece entitled "Palin: Iraq war 'a task from God."  As per the news story the Alaska Governor, Sarah Palin, told ministry students at her former church that the United States sent troops to fight in the Iraq war on a "task that is from God."  She said this in June 2008 when she he had the faintest idea that in three months time she would be joining Senator McCain in the Republican ticket to fight for the White House against the Democratic ticket of Obama-Biden.  All eyes are on her because very little was known about her political philosophy and her worldviews.
From the same write-up by Gene Johnson, I also learnt that in an address last June, Governor Palin also urged ministry students to pray for a plan to build a $30 billion natural gas pipeline in the state, calling it "God's will."  She asked the students to pray for the troops in Iraq, and noted that her eldest son, Track, was expected to be deployed there.

In a speech given before the seminary students she said, "Our national leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God." She further said, "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that plan is God's plan."

As per the AP story a video of the speech was posted at the Wasilla Assembly of God's Web site before finding its way on to other sites on the Internet.  Now that Governor Palin is going through the vetting process by the "liberal" media, all kinds of information are being unearthed.  Should Americans vote for a ticket that has a Bible-thumping person such as Sarah Palin?  If Americans face a crisis, rather than solving it, Ms. Palin may say that the event was planned by God and we the mortals have very little power to confront God's will.

Ms. Palin, the Governor of Alaska, has too much faith on higher power.  One simply has to look into myriads of speech she gave publicly.  One time she told graduating students of the church's School of Ministry, "What I need to do is strike a deal with you guys." As they preached the love of Jesus throughout Alaska, she said, she'd work to implement God's will from the governor's office, including creating jobs by building a pipeline to bring North Slope natural gas to North American markets.

As documented in the video, Governor Palin also said, "God's will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas line built, so pray for that."

In the same speech the God-loving and Bible-thumping Governor of Alaska said, "I can do my job there in developing our natural resources and doing things like getting the roads paved and making sure our troopers have their cop cars and their uniforms and their guns, and making sure our public schools are funded," she added. "But really all of that stuff doesn't do any good if the people of Alaska's heart isn't right with God."

Gov. Palin's utmost faith on higher power hardly comes as surprise because she attended the evangelical church from the time she was a teenager until 2002.  As per the church authorities, she has continued to attend special conferences and meetings there.  As expected, the religious conservatives have welcomed her selection as John McCain's running mate.  In fact, her selection as the running mate had unified the Republican base.

The modern day America is no longer the nation dominated by fundamentalist Christians.  Therefore, it remains to be seen how Governor Palin could become a cohesive force in uniting people belonging to various religious groups.

Finally, the church's web site hosting the damaging video was quick to take down the segment showing Governor Palin addressing the seminary students.  Justifying the shut down of Governor Palin's segment they wrote, "(the site) was never intended to handle the traffic it has received in the last few days."
