Apparently, Yogi has launched a jehad against whatever is known as Hinduism
in India today. It has escaped his knowledge that even Buddhism in Srilanka
is riddled with caste system. The road to equality is not through
conversion. During the rule of Asoke the Great, most of India turned
Buddhist, but it took his grand son to start the destruction of Buddhism, as
he found the holy men meddling too much in the affairs of the state. Every
society has its untouchables, and I have seen a few of them. Even the
communists in the Soviet union had their Nomenclatura! Let the Hindus go
back to the Vedic religion, eat beef and be merry. Would the Muslims let
the 'unholy' pigs be slaughtered in public?
If one lets the poor be baptized into Christianity, India will face the same
lot as the Africa. As an African leader lamented, "When the holy father
came, he had the Bible and we had the land, he asked us to close our eyes,
on opening them we found that he had the land and we had the Bible"
