The wise old man did not get the message of the quotation frm Kazi Nazrul he
cited. A similar message was given by Abul Fazal and was beheaded by the
Prince consort, Jahangir. As long as the old vengeful God is kept alive in
the minds of the believers, the defenders of religions will have indemnity,
and militancy would be recurred. Pushing dirt under thecarpet does not clean
a house. Spreading Taqiyaah will not cure the problem. Old concepts should
be given a decent funeral.
Rationalism, secularism, humanism etc. are not the contributions of
theocratic schools. These ideas came from Graeco-Roman schools of
Philosophy. I hope any wise cracker knows what he/she is talking about.
