Upanishads are essentially atheistic. We should be grateful to Prince Dara
Shikoh for having translated them, else these would be lost by now. Nirad
C. Chaudhuri had some derogatory comments about them in his rather infamous
book titled 'Hinduism'
Leela can be interpreted as divine play. Radha is the sun-goddess, and the
sky god Krishna playing with her is the so called Krishna-leela
Understanding oneself may be aided by a soul mate, without it only a
self-analytic, call it a sage if you like, can do that. However, self
analysis is not necessarily liberating.
One may notice that anything beginning with 'Ra' is solar. Rab, Radha, Ram,
Ratna etc., obviously derived from the cult of Ra. Even the North Indian
temple design was influenced by the Egyptians. Could the deities and the
religious literatures remain unaffected?
