Isn't it fantastic to see even the people who blindly support right-wing extremists back home voted overwhelmingly and enthusiastically for a left-wing, liberal and progressive person in USA?  Yes, I am talking about the true hypocrites from Pakistan and Bangladesh living in the USA who when it comes to the politics in their country of origin, they support the opposite – ultra-conservative, narrow-minded, backward and extreme right-wing bigots who dirtily plays the religion card.  The politicians like Barack Obama in Bangladesh and Pakistan will be thumped by this same group of people.  Isn't it funny that we often blame USA and the West for having double standard principles?  But now we are very happy to see that a truly liberal left-wing politician won the presidency in the most powerful nation in the world who in the past through its spy agency worked against the wills of the people in so many countries and put in power the right-wing fanatics.  Tolerance prevailed over right-wing communalism, hatred and intolerance.

The dirty politics that the Republicans played in this election – sending out the anti-Islamic propaganda movie "Obsession" to the people in the battleground states with the aim of  swaying the voter's mind through fear and suspicion, falsely spreading rumors about Obama's background (that he is a secret Muslim, or he attended madrassah), saying if Obama is elected other's Gods will win against ours etc. – will only remind us of a former prime minister of Bangladesh (from a party whose number 1 specialty is anti-India propaganda) who notoriously said that if the opposition is elected, "There will be no Islamic prayer in the mosques in Bangladesh, there will be only uloo dhoni (Hindu chanting) instead of aza'an from the mosque."  Let's not forget that.   And yes I agree - LEARN FROM THE MAGNANIMITY OF THE AMERICAN MASS.
