[mukto-mona] Gaza Holocaust - The difference between holocaust and Holocaust

What Israel with the tacit approval of George Bush did to innocent people of Ghaza by indiscriminate bombardment and use of chemical weapons has surpassed the Nazi atrocities during world war 2. While rest of the world condemned  Israeli brutalities
US did not and gave support to ceasefire after much death and destruction under
pressure of Muslim allies. US on previous 36 or so ocassions had vetoed UN
resolution condemning Israel for excesses during last 4 decades..

Holocaust, originally means, a religious rite in which an offering was entirely consumed by fire. In current usage, holocaust refers to any widespread human disaster, but due to Zionist propaganda as the term Holocaust (with capital H) it means the almost complete destruction of European Jews by Nazi Germany  In 1938, following the assassination of a German diplomat in Paris by a young Jew, all synagogues in Germany were set on fire, windows of Jewish shops were smashed by angry mobs just like what happened in Pakistan after assassination of BB. German Government arrested many Jews to hunt down the group that had plotted the murder.

Laws against Holocaust denial

Holocaust denial is illegal in a number of European countries: Austria (article 3h Verbotsgesetz 1947), Belgium (Belgian Negationism Law), the Czech Republic under section 261, France (Loi Gayssot), Germany (§ 130 (3) of the penal code) also the Auschwitzlüge law section 185, Lithuania, The Netherlands under articles 137c and 137e, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain and Switzerland (article 261bis of the Penal Code). In addition, under Law 5710-1950 it is also illegal in Israel.

The Faurisson affair is a term given to an academic controversy in the wake of a book by Robert Faurisson, a Holocaust denier. He asserted that Jewish accounts of Holocaust were exaggerated just to gain sympathy of the West and to wash out hatred of Christians prevailing over several centuries.

The scandal largely dealt with the inclusion of an essay by Noam Chomsky, Some Elementary Comments on the Rights of Freedom of Expression, as an introduction to Faurisson's book. Responding to a request for comment in a climate of attacks on Faurisson, Chomsky defended Faurisson's previous writing (though not his claims) on free speech grounds. His defense was the target of subsequent accusations by various academics and groups. The accusations claimed that his defense went beyond free speech arguments and included defense of Faurisson's work, as well as seeking to discredit Chomsky by claiming a deeper philosophical and political association between him and Faurisson.'''''''

In December 1978 and January 1979, Robert Faurisson, a French professor of literature at the University of Lyon, published two letters in Le Monde claiming that the gas chambers used by the Nazis to exterminate the Jews did not exist.

As a result of a TV interview, he was found guilty of defamation and incitement to racial hatred and given a suspended 3-month prison term, and a 21,000-franc (€3,200) fine. In addition he was ordered to pay for the reproduction of the judgement in national newspapers and television. This latter requirement was dropped after he appealed [2].

"I see no anti-Semitic implications in denial of the existence of gas chambers or even denial of the Holocaust. Nor would there be anti-Semitic implications, per se, in the claim that the Holocaust (whether one believes it took place or not) is being exploited, viciously so, by apologists for Israeli repression and violence. I see no hint of anti-Semitic implications in Faurisson's work." (quoted in Noam Chomsky's Search for the Truth)
