[mukto-mona] A poem to honor the Fighters for the Enviornment [1 Attachment]

[Attachment(s) from Belal Beg included below]

I was fortunate to be present at the BEN rally by the UN Headquarter in New York on Sept. 18. The leaders and workers of BEN, a group of utterly sincere Bangladeshi men and women driven by sheer passion of love for their beloved people and the country, sacrificed a lot to make the event successful. I am not here to detail the success stories of the day or all the activities they have undertaken throughout the life of the organisation. I am here to tell you the impression the speeches of the scholars some of them coming from outside New York, created on me. They shed light on the environment situation of the planet and the impact of climate change on Bangladesh. While I was listening to Dr. Khaliquzzaman, suddenly I shivered in horror at the sight of Bangladesh in the year 2050. This intense emotional experience gave birth to a poem. I invite you to share my feelings in the attached poem now. Thank you for your time.
