During or perhaps after the Swat operation by the Taliban, I  actually witnessed the videos of this gruesome act performed, one by one, on a number of men, lying helplessly in the open field, while the 'jallaad' (the executioner) was going from one prostrate individual to the other, reciting "Allah-o Akbar" again and again. Also, during the performance of these acts of bravery, I could hear other men standing around witnessing this spectacle, singing on an on in unison in the back ground, apparently, some religious songs (probably in Pashto). I also remember, very well that it seemed the knife was not sharp enough, for it took the pious and brave man some struggling and effort before fully completing the act of decapitating the bleeding head. And then proudly positioning and adjusting it over the chest of the victim for displaying his proud accomplishment. I could also see the dead, still seemingly alive, but silent unfocussed blank eyes staring vacantly from the bloody orbits of the decapitated head, that had been set upon the chest of the person to whom they had belonged barely a few of minutes ago!

We have been saying for years that the mindset that allows killers to walk around Victoria terminus killing innocents will also allow them to do the same in Rawalpindi and Lahore. Morons like Musharraf who famously thought that "in kee tooti hamarey haath mein hai" should be told to shut up and keep their mouth shut until things get better.
