Amirul Islam Chowdhury is wrong to expect better from a ruling party that claims to be the harbinger of liberalism in Bangladeshi politics (May 31). Political liberalism is characterised by dissent, reform, meritocracy and non violence within a political party. I assume he is thinking about another country and not Bangladesh.
