You are hitting the nail right on the head! As you write, the minorities are basically a history in Bangladesh. The rest will be forced to leave soon or later. When they are gone, the zealots will go after moderate Muslims and finish them too. If nobody stands up against these thugs, the Islamists will take over the area and create their own Taliban state, which will be eventually crushed by China and India. People are basically playing with the fire.

Minorities can not live in Bangladesh in near future. Day by day minorities are decreasing in Bangladesh due to many reasons. Minorities are increasing in India and other non-Muslim majority countries. Awami League , BNP and Jamat all are same regarding minorities. If India and her part West Bengal would not have existed beside Bangladesh then perhaps minorities would live in greater numbers in Bangladesh.
My eldest brother ( in his sixties) who is living in India frequently remembers his birth place, a village near Goplagunge of Bangladesh. His mind is full of remembrance of each single entity like trees, village meadows, boats, his school, river, market place etc. Once he expressed if he takes re-birth again , he would like to take birth in Bangladesh again. This proves how much he loved his mother land and can not forget his childhood paradise village.
But Bangladesh will never be a country to live with respect and with fearless mind for minorities. There is no strong law to protect minorities. And it will never be made in a Muslim majority country. So no hope for minorities in Bangladesh. The more the minorities will be reduced, the more the rest of the minorities living in Bangladesh will face problems.
The Hindus who left Bangladesh and came to West Bengal and other parts of India some of them are living besides Muslims of that place. They say pointing to Muslim community, "O how much you are happy here and we were unhappy there (Bangladesh)".
One of my relatives told if the Hindus of Bangladesh would get at least 10% of social justice and Government protection from Bangladesh as that of the Muslims are getting in West Bengal then very few Bangladeshi Hindus or Christians would migrate to India.
I shall give example of Kalim Bhai. Kalim came to Guma, Nort 24 Parganas West Bengal in 1975 from a village of Kotali Para of Bangladesh and was living beside rail way lines in hut. He by profession is umbrella repairer. He incidentally came to our house and we thus became familiar with him. He is now the citizen of India (by the grace of CPM and its Vote bank policy ). He has noe his own house and his one son and one daughter has got job as primary school teacher. How happy he is and he told he would never gone back to his Kotali para. He is a happy citize of India.
I think I wasted my time to write all this. Still I write. I don't know why. But I write....

I never believed for a moment that a religious minority in Bangladesh will dare to post such an image in his/her Face book page. It's just like Pakistani Christian girl case. This has been a convenient technique to attack religious minorities. The saddest thing is – there is no time for fact-checking. When the facts are out – it is already too late. I am also surprised to watch the role of Awami-government; they exactly followed the Muslim League or Ershadi footsteps, where government will stand down until substantial blow has been delivered to the religious minorities. Awami-government machinery gave those terrorist the whole night in this case. They also gave more than a day to the terrorists in the Hazari Hat carnage. In that case, police said they have no order to shoot or no ammunition and equipment to control the mob. Ershad and Muslim League used to fight communal riots the same way in the past; BNP did the worst of all in 2001, where they completely denied any communal disturbance in Bangladesh while minority villages after villages were being burned for days, and minority women were being gang-raped in hundreds (200 hundred in one night at a village Barishal). Do you think anything will change in Bangladesh in near future? I don't. It's always the same whoever comes to power. Jiten Roy --- On Tue, 10/16/12, SyedAslam <Syed.Aslam3@gmail.com> wrote:
