Then why not all those 45 Officers if alive today should be brought under trial now?

My Comment:

It was a  court martial to disrupt the discipline in the rank and file of Army. Verdict was given from the facts prevailing then, which still prevails.
I do not know what kind of verdict could come out for a failed revolutionary.
Verdict was not politically motivated at all.

 "আমার বইয়ের কোথাও বলা হয়নি, যে এ বিচারের ট্রাইব্যুনাল গঠনের অনেক আগেই জেনারেল জিয়াউর রহমান পাকিস্তান ফেরত সামরিক অফিসারদের তুষ্ট করতে কর্নেল তাহেরকে ফাঁসি দেওয়ার জন্য মনস্থির করেছিলেন।"

"কর্নেল তাহেরের বিচারের বিষয়ে আমার বইয়ে লেখা প্রাসঙ্গিক অংশ ছিলো নিম্নরুপ-
......কর্নেল তাহেরকে সাজা দেওয়ার প্রশ্নে পাকিস্তান প্রত্যাগত অফিসাররা সব সময় তার মৃত্যুদণ্ড চেয়েছেন। এ ব্যাপারে জিয়া ৪৬ জন সিনিয়র অফিসারের সঙ্গে আলোচনা করেন। সকলে একবাক্যে তাহেরের জন্য চূড়ান্ত শাস্তির পক্ষে মতামত দেন।"

"যেহেতু বইটি ইংরেজিতে লেখা হয়েছিলো তাই ইংরেজি প্রাসঙ্গিক অংশও তুলে ধরা হলো-
