I do not think there is any connection between intelligence and racism. Both are the products of our genes and nature. These are key ingredients of our human evolution and propelled us to have different societies with different achievements and expectations. Without that we would have become an mediocre human species. The competition to outsmart others is still on whether we see it or not! Our German brothers and sisters are highly intelligent people but they are also very race conscious people like many of our African brothers and sisters. How do we explain that anomaly?

Racism is the communality against a race, and shamprodaikota is against a religious community. They are both communality. If racism leads to stupidity, the same will be the result of shamprodaikota. This study found that – rightwing racism leads to stupidity. I can't disagree completely. Racism could block many of our cognitive intelligences due to prejudice and communality. But, that's not all. I have been saying this, for a long time, that - too much of religiosity will block many of our cognitive thinking abilities due to our religious prejudices. The effect is also the same on the other side of the spectrum. Extreme leftwing ideological belief could block our rational cognitive intelligence also, and lead to making irrational decisions, as did many communists leaders (Lenin, Khrushchev, Mao, Pol Pot, etc.). These leaders ended up killing millions of ordinary people in the name of revolution. Therefore, the safest place to be in - is in the middle of the spectrum, i.e., to be a centrist. Jiten Roy
