It was blindingly obvious that the CTG wanted both ladies in exile -
at least for the interim period.
With Khaleda and Hasina out of the country the two main obstacles to
reform and progressive thinking would have been removed. If they were
sent to jail the parties would end up in a mess and if they were
acquitted then it would be an ultimate return to the politics of the
past.
Moinul Hossein's comments, on the subject of exile, are harmless
enough. No need to desperately make something out of nothing. Better
to pursue the CTG failure to control food prices.
