[ALOCHONA] Re: Islam and politics in Bangladesh

Dear Alochok Fighter 71

Love your name!

What is your theory about Nizami becoming a minister and Jamaat
contesting in elections 36 years after committing atrocities? I mean
what is the logical conclusion of such facts?

I conclude that

1) there was much larger opposition to independence back in 1971
than we are told

2) Jamaat is much bigger and stronger in Bangladesh than the number
of their MPs suggests

3) all mainstream politicians are scared of Jamaat

4) Many, many Bangladeshis - even born after 1971 - support Jamaat.

I don't like it but its logical. What do you think?

What can we do to resolve the issue of Jamaat and its role in 1971?
Surely you - like I - don't want it to go on and on and on! If that
happens people will get bored with the issue and ignore it - it is
already happening!

What can we do to resolve it? If Awami League win the next election -
what can they do to fix the problm? Can they fix the problem?

Or do we just admit that we will always be a nation of traitors

Bolo na! Ar kotho deen bhai ey dhorbar? Ki kortheh hobeh ar keh
korbeh?

With warm regards

Rajakar/Albadar/Piece Committee was not just political. Please read
the volumes of Bangladesher Muktijudhdher Dolilpotro, Ekettorer
Ghtaok Dalalra ke Kothay, etc. They states in many cases the
Razakar/Albadar identified/found the vicitms. (Do not forget they
were collaborators) Family of Shahidullah Kaiser points their finger
to Khalek Mojumder (the then Dhaka City leader of Jamat ), family of
Alim Chowdhury point their finger to Maolana Mannan (late, of
Inqilab). The Rajakar/Albadar/Piece Committee high command gave
unconditional support to Pak Army. That automatically makes them
supporters of their (pak army) crimes. Golam Azam was the president
of Piece Committe and Motiur Nizami was the president of Albadar
Bahini. I do not know why do you think about india when you see
your country men are under attack (killing/ massmurder/
rapes/looting). The
> political support issue by Jamat and those parties to Pak Army
never make sense to me. If you see you are under attack and your
neighbor is supporting the attacker what do you think about them?
