The Story is right. Zahir Raihan went to Mirpur after receiving a phone call on 19 December about his brother Shahidullah Kaiser abducted by the Al-Badrs. Shahidulla Kaiser was killed and dumped in the Rayer Bazar Baddha Bhumi. It was not known to him. The phone call was fake. The Indian military vehicle escorted him was found damaged near Mirpur #10. He never returned. We lost the most talented intellectual of our time due to conspiracy hatched by dirty Awami Politicians. Ask Tofael Ahmed, he knows everything about Zahir Raihan's disapperance. Onlt he needs to e taken in RAB custody for a few days.
The ever first Inquiry Committee was formed after Zahir'd disappearnce order by Mr. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. It was never published.
However where did the films go? They were deposited with Ms. Rubina in the Azimpur China Building. In 1973, she was brutally murdered in her quarter and the fims disappeared. Her husband was wrongfully implicated in the murder case by the Awami Regime. He was freed in 1976 when Ziaur Rahman came to power. However, the mystery was never solved.

My message is that he was kidnpped by the Indian intellegence arround after one month of independence due to a film which he was making and kept in indian jail by changed his name from where no body can come out if once entered.
Zahir Raihan had documented who killed intellectuals just few days before of our independence and that was the fate of this braved man.
