[vinnomot] Re: Dr. Yunus's Commencement Speech at MIT (06 June 2008): Our "Prides and Preju

Mr Gani,

While I was elated at the news of MIT's invitation to Dr Yunus, your abusive language against the teachers of RU and Dhaka
University shocked me. I am Indian-so I am sure Bangladeshi people
will take good care of you--but my parents are teacher and therefore,
any insulting comment and action against teaching community is not
something I have very high tolerance for. Not that I liked all of my
teachers in my career but teaching community is the role model of
honesty and humanity before average Bengalis. Indirect reference to
them as monkey and what's not, is a clear indication that you are
another ungrateful creature like Islamic terrorists who think their
only gratitude is towards Allah and not to the mortal beings like
their fellow countrymen, citizens and of course teachers who brought
light to our mind. Teachers were into civil disobedience, a spiritual path of resistance shown by Gandhi. If they are criminal, then Gandhi is also criminal by the same scale of magnitude. And of course question sanity of those who think Gandhi is a criminal.

Other than that, I agree with you on Dr Yunus and I strongly believe he is the greatest living visionary of Bangladesh.

Thanks
Biplab
