[ALOCHONA] Re: Free Good Governance and Puppet Triangle

Dear Alochoks,

I thank Mr. Musa for reading my article and spending some time to
write his opinion on it. Although India is in a higher position than
Bangladesh if you consider the overall human development indicators,
our motherland has indeed exceeded her big and powerful neighbour in
many aspects of human development. For example, Bangladesh is in a
much better position than India in ensuring gender parity in primary
and secondary level education. While female enrollment is 10 percent
lower than male in secondary education in India, Bangladesh has
successfully improved female enrolment resulting a higher ratio than
male. Please see the links below for more information.

You will find many other areas of human development where we can be
proud of the achievements of our people.

The response of Mr. Musa highlights a very import aspect of the
mindset of our educated elite. We try our best to undermine the
achievement of Bangladesh and highlight and exaggerate its
shortcomings. This symptom becomes more evident when any comparison
between Bangladesh and India arises.

Regarding the issue of achievements of the democratic governments and
corruptions, I did not say that there was no corruption during that
time. My point was, the country was in a much better economic
condition during democratic rule. Even CTG does not deny it. Now,
they have to tell us why they failed to even maintain the economic
condition. We, the citizens of the country, have given them our
taxes. They are enjoying absolute power. When you blame something for
all of our misfortune and you claim that you have successfully
controlled it, then why the situation is worsening? We were against
corruption not because some organisations put us at the top of the
list, but because we were told that it was the key factor behind our
lack of development and price hike.

Best regards.

Imtiaz
