[mukto-mona] Mixing military logic with market logic may not work

Muscle can work in the barracks. A different kind of market sense
has to be used in running the economy. The prices of things are
galloping away. We, the members of the middleclass, are facing
devastation with next to nothing in savings. The situation is rather
bleak. The situation is no longer pinching at the edges; it is
eating away at our economic vitals. We are sensing a catastrophic
economic dislocation, mass unemployment and anarchy. May I request
the military backed government to begin to introduce civil
bureaucracy while ensuring good governance and transparency and
assign tasks to dedicated persons of the soil. The urgency is
immediate and the solutions cannot wait. The country may suffer from
serious food security vacuum and, therefore, let us begin to
introduce commercial farming and farming based on organic
fertilizer. Let us give the farmer more incentive to cultivate every
piece of unutilized land. Let us also invest in alternative fuel and
solar energy driven products.

The military may have some answers but the complete puzzle has to be
answered by the total population, meaning we have to fix the
problems of Bangladesh by engaging the services of all conscientious
people which include everyone including public, politicians and all
law abiding citizens.

The quicker the army understands this the better. The role of army
is keeping enemies away and supporting the civilian government in
times of desperate needs. The desperate needs were in front of us
during 1/11 and now that need is being addressed; therefore, the
army needs to begin its retreat to the barracks. If the civilian
government cannot keep things in order the country will call back
the army once again. However, that should be the last resort.

Thank you.
