Bush Will Win
Sitangshu Guha, 29th October 2004:
Just before the election of 2000 at this time I had told that, Al Gore is popular, but Bush will win (Daily news had published that in its one of the reports in a small paragraph). Today, I want to say also that, Bush will win. If Bush loses, terrorists will win, at least for the time being and America will lose. I am from Bangladesh, a Muslim dominant country where Islamic militancy and terrorism is gaining momentum everyday and I can't afford to loose the battle against the militant Islam. So, I wish Bush be re-elected.
Why? Reason is simple, terrorists don't want him win, which tells me that, he is doing the right job. What he is doing? He is chasing the terrorists around the globe. I want him to do the same for the next four years, so that he can make this world a bit more beautiful.
Only last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin told that the terrorists don't want Bush to be re-elected. Bangladesh, India and most of the Europe also don't like Bush. Everybody has their own reason or logic behind that. I respect that, but, look all the fundamentalist Islamists are talking against Bush. So, the peace loving people need to talk for Bush. Yes, War & Peace is the prime question, sometimes we need war for peace.
Why they are against Bush? They think Bush is the enemy of Islam! I don't know which Islam they are talking about, but Mr. Bush is surely against militant Islam and everybody should be against those thugs including the moderate Muslims. If anybody is against Islam, that is, the militant Islamists, not Bush or America. Muslims in USA will admit that they are better respected here than their own homeland, which they (Not everybody) very often try to convert into a Muslim country and drive out the non-Muslims (Bangladesh is the latest example).
I am not against Kerry and I also know that, Bush is not perfect. But right now, we don't have any other choice but them. Among them, Bush is the right choice.
Believe me, people are talking that the war on Iraq was wrong! As a Bangladeshi, all of us know that, Saddam Hussein played a big role to make Bangladesh a hub for militant Islamists. He funded Madrassas, Moulana Mannan & Inquillab, all three are the causes, among many others, of Islamic militancy in Bangladesh. If Saddam can do that to Bangladesh, surely he did the same to other countries also. That means he encouraged the militancy beyond his territorial limit. From that point of view, I had supported the Iraq war and to me that was more than justified. America should have done that during the Desert Storm. Those who thoughts Saddam Hussein was a socialists are dam wrong, he was always a fundamentalist in camouflage and was successfully able to exploit the then socialist block and as well as the USA.
Finally, why I say that Bush will win? Reason is simple, American voters will think of their safety first & safety last. Domestic issues are important, but life is more precious than that. Americans are pro-life and that will make them pro-Bush on Nov.02, 2004. Note that, the recent threat of that psychic terrorists against America, the lost explosives, the Chirac-Kerry factor, Afghanistan, Iraq and if any terrorists bomb explodes anywhere around the globe before the election, that will tell the voters to go out and vote for Bush.
Let this cow boy President do his job for the next four years.
