I have a question. In the rotating non-inertial reference frame Newton is nobody when it comes to his laws of motion. His second law implies that a net force must be associated with a net acceleration i.e., a change in velocity. Now if Newton is not valid here, why do we still care about acceleration? The guy riding the revolving object will feel an attractive force. That's true. He does not have to be accelerated towards the center! Then why do we have to introduce a "real" but "false" force whose origin cannot be traced? It is really intriguing to me. I believe the introduction of "centrifugal" force is a merely a matter of convenience. Maybe not! I never got a chance to walk those steps. Please enlighten me. I am one of those who fell in love with "Physics Sundari" who throughout my life kept me outside her domain. Professionally I am far far away from her. But my one-sided love is still alive. And that's why I occasionally sneak into her private and beautiful areas.
