This is an interesting story. I came cross another one about 10 years back. I was purchasing a portrait of ShriKrishna for my mother-in-law from the sidewalk vendor at Flushing, New York. The seller looked like an Indian. Out of curiosity, I wanted to know what his name was and where he came from. He said, he is from Guyana, and his name is Muhammad so and so. I was surprised to hear his name, as it was a Muslim name. I asked him why he was selling portraits of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. His reply even surprised me more. He said that many of his family members do practice Hindu religion and he, even though follow Islam, like portraits of Hindu Gods and Goddesses.
