I am sure these videos were made with love and respect for Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. However, there are quite a few problems with them.
Nawab Siraj-ud-Doula was a spoiled prince/king. He was not a leader of the grass-root people of Bengal.
Sheikh Mujib, in spite of all his limitations, was a populist politician who came from a modest family background. He was the most popular leader that East Bengal/Bangladesh has ever had in the history of the land. He sacrificed most of his life for the betterment of his people. His people showed him love, until he was wrongly perceived to be a puppet of the infidels of India. (That fault of being crazy about Islam on the part of most of his people does not degrade him in my book.)
In spite of all the criticism that I am willing to make against Mujid, I would keep him at a much higher honor level than Siraj-ud-Doula.
It is a shame that in the videos the producers gave the Mujib family a Bangla accent, which is not how that family actually spoke. I know this because I used to walk to school everyday through the Sheikh family home in Tungipara. The producers probably did not pay attention to even how Hasina talks, which they could have done easily.
Some of the dramatizations made the videos weaker. For example, the conversations of Hasina with Mujib before she left for Germany. Too much dramatization can turn a documentary into a fiction. The producers should have paid attention to that reality.
