What a farce this is? Why even bother with the charade? But it seems to me a stint in Bangladesh Govt can turns anyone in to a professional comedian. AL, BNP, Army, Jamat all now have comedians in their ranks.

Police conducted several raids at the residence of Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojahid at Uttara in the capital yesterday but failed to arrest him.
But sources said Mojahid went to the daily Sangram office at Moghhbazar 9:00am yesterday and stayed there for two hours.
Earlier on October 6, a Dhaka court issued arrest warrant on the Jamaat leader, an accused in Barapukuria coal mine corruption case.
Witnesses said yesterday a 10-member team from the detective branch (DB) of police and a five-member team of Uttara police raided Mojahid's residence between 4:30pm and 5:30pm.
About 200 Jamaat activists were present in front of the house during the raids. They tried to resist the law enforcers from entering the house, and did not also allow any journalist to enter it.
Contacted, Saiful Islam Chowdhury, officer-in-charge (OC) of Uttara Police Station, said, "We raided his house several times but did not find him there. We have been trying to trace him, and will arrest him wherever we find him."
He however denied presence of Jamaat men at the place during the raids.
In reply to a question , he said, "It is not known to us whether he went to Sangram office."
Meantime, eminent citizens and lawyers sharply reacted to Mojahid's presence at his party's dialogue with the government on Tuesday while police reported to the trial court that he is a fugitive.

When the police claim that Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojahid is fugitive, the Jamaat leader joined his party's dialogue with the government yesterday.
Chief Adviser (CA) Fakhruddin Ahmed was present at the talks.
Mojahid has been attending various programmes in the city after police Sunday reported to the trial court that he went into hiding after the issuance of an arrest warrant against him in the Barapukuria coal mine corruption case on October 6.
He showed up at the press briefing along with his party men following the dialogue. Four advisers, including Education and Commerce Adviser Hossain Zillur Rahman, were present at the time.
Zillur kept mum when reporters asked him how a wanted accused could attend such a high-profile meeting.
"There is no legal bar to his attending the dialogue with the government," Jamaat leader Abdur Razzak quickly chipped in.
"The High Court asked him to surrender to the trial court by Thursday after he filed a bail petition in connection with the case," he told reporters.
At the meeting, Mojahid strongly condemned the government for implicating him in the corruption case and demanded that the case be scrapped.
Earlier on October 6, Metropolitan Sessions Judge of Dhaka Mohammad Azizul Haque issued arrest warrants against nine of the 16 accused in the Barapukuria coal mine case.
Police reported to the court Sunday that they raided Mojahid's residence after getting the arrest warrant. The Jamaat leader however attended a rally of the BNP-led four-party alliance that very day.
He also signed an official Jamaat letter sent to the chief election commissioner that day which asked for extension of an October 15 deadline relating to the registration of political parties.
Mojahid went down to Satkhira on October 10 and held meetings at different places there till October 11.
The Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case on February 26 this year accusing BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, 10 former BNP ministers and five other people on charges of causing a loss of Tk 159 crore to the state exchequer by awarding operations of the Barapukuria coal mine to a Chinese company through abuse of power.
The ACC pressed charges against them on October 5.
