I know Islam does not support idol worship. That's why the prophet gave leadership in removing the 360 idols from the Kaaba. Hourani mentions that the name of one of these idols was Allah. But can you provide us with even a single quote from any Islamic scriptures to prove that Islam does not allow any sculptures or any form of image of a hero like a freedom fighter or a person noted in any field like science, arts, humanities, and so on? I am really curious. Worshipping an idol and showing respect and gratitude to a great hero of a nation for inspirational purpose cannot be the same thing. Sculptures are not made to be worshipped but to get inspiration.
