Huda was selected for this position by the current CTG and the current CTG is seen as Jamaat's B team by many.  Just read Biggest Joke - Police hunt for Mojahid in this discussion group:

This CTG has been extraordinarily soft on Jamaat and other religious fanatics and extremists.  Can you explain that?  Because of Kuwaiti, Qatari, Saudi threats?  Our so-called Muslim brothers (or masters) might get even with the poor, helpless and lowly paid Bangladeshi workers.  We are nothing but jokes and we love to show Islamic attitudes at every chance with pure hypocrisy in our mind.
