Dear Brothers:
There is nothing wrong in accepting the facts as they have happened in the past. There is also nothing wrong in confessing the wrongs One has committed and repent to Allah for his forgiveness. What Mujib did for Bangladesh is a fact and what the traitors did to him and his family is wrong, as killings of innocent people or even for the wrong ones without a fair trial is totally banned in Islam.
There may no temples in Mujib's name, as he was a good Muslim, therefore, a mausoleum for his honor may not be wrong at all as Zinnah has one in Pakistan and so does Gandhi in India. We need to respect and give due credit to the Ones who deserve them irrespective of who they are. The man who banished his personal happiness and wealth for the people of this country needs to be remembered no matter what religion or philosophy we believe in. A debate on this issue is meaningless and we have seen it with our own eyes.

Gandhi cautioned his devoted followers not to worship him. The Indians in many places have started making Gandhi temples - even Amitabh Bachcahn temples. Whenever something grand happens - all Awami leaguers garland Mujib's potrait - what will you say when initially Hindus will start making his idol and start worshipiing? With all respect - I am sure the so called Amodis or progressives or religiousless people in the name of secularsim will also be starting to go to Mujib temple. Watch - the days might not be far.

It is not surprising at all. But ther best way to challenge false-information is to prove the proposer has a history of falsehood and he/she/they - are not aware of their own false-past. Hence, if I even come across any rubbish (unconstructive) criticism/abuse againt Islam, I always tend to put forward a counter question in order to shake off the irrational logic. To keep on defending with idiots will be a waste of time. For example, the Mukto Mona publihsher decently published Richard Dawkins' writings in Bengali when there are several well established counter-logics against his writings even by many non-Muslim scholars. It claims to be a secular panel when it is in fact a drum-beater for Communism. Mis-represented news-item on Kamaruddin (of Malaysia) - put up in such a way that the reader may at first think that Mr. Kamaruddin was released by High Court as he had rightly criticised Islam - when the ordinary readers unlike me as a lawyer - are not aware of Internal Security Act of Malaysia and Section 8 thereof. Secularism is not a bashing ground of Islamic hatred and it cannot be a way to propagate against Islam. Karl Marx in his 'On Religion' did not discuss Islam at all. Christianity' s Martin Luther or Hitler - had been a much worse anti-semetist than any Muslim leader. I believe that Islam is the only religion that guarantees peaceful coexistence with all other religious denominations but at the same time - not ready to compromise its staunch stand for monotheism in the name of 'jotomot toto poth'. We should rather ask what is the stand of Sikhism, Judaism or even Hinduism on inter-religious marriages or marrying without permission from parents. We should rather ask why Stephen Spielberg, Sacha Baron Cohen, Michael Douglas - being so called secular modern celebrities had a lot to do with the conversion of their partners - and why does Mr. Cohen - having a research degree on the role of Jews in American history and yet humorises Jews hatred and how his talent is being used to ridicule the Kzakhastan Government which had commiited a lot behind exodus of Jews for there after the fall of USSR.

I think you are NOT listening--we all including Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi, Mohajir and Paktoon Muslims are saying that existing Secular Army has to go. We want ARMY that is built on Islamic principles; also that NEW MUSLIM ARMY should represent all ethnic groups including Sindhi, Balochi, Paktoon, Mohajir and Punjabi Muslims. Right now the existing SECULAR ARMY is 90% Punjabis, and do not represent all ethnic groups. Therefore, it is easy for this Secular ARMY to commit war crimes against every ethnic group.
Please show all of us that you are Muslim, then Pakistani and then Punjabi, and not other way around. Punjabis are part of Pakistan citizens, but they have to allow other ethnic groups to get appointed in government jobs.

Indian Muslim Ulema gather in Hyderabad to introspect: NewAgeIslam. com suggests Need to go beyond fatwas against terror and tackle deeper issues that alienate Muslims
Six thousand Muslim clerics are set to gather in Hyderabad on November 8 to issue the "biggest ever fatwa" against terrorism. Organised by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, the country's largest Islamic body, the meet will have muftis from all states condemning the propaganda that "regards terrorism as synonymous with jihad". The Jamiat, along with the Dar-ul Uloom Deoband, India's oldest Islamic seminary, had issued a similar fatwa on May 31, the first of its kind in the country. "The first fatwa was signed by only three muftis. This one will be signed by 6,000 muftis, which means the impact of this will be much larger and deeper," Jamiat leader Maulana Mahmood Madani told reporters. We hope the request has been heeded and the present meet will lead to some genuine introspection. The ulema must come forward with visionary guidance for the Muslim community that will help them deal with their own inadequacies and enable them to lead the country on a path of harmony and prosperity rather than remain a community of whiners and grievance-mongers as our leaders have turned us into. It is this whining and constant grievance mongering and spinning of conspiracy theories that is also leading our youth on the path of terrorism. Let us recognise that and act to stem the tide. Blaming others is easy, but let us choose the difficult path of setting our own house in order and setting an example before the country.

Jamiat Ulema should come clean on its past resolutions on Jihad and Islam-supremacism that have spawned the Taliban
I would like to draw attention to one of its resolution adopted in the 1939 session to protest against the Wardha scheme of education. The Jamiat censured the new scheme as anti-Islamic and said, "The Wardha scheme emphasises the philosophy of non-violence, and presents it as a creed. We have accepted non-violence only as a policy. This cannot be accepted as a creed. This is against the teaching of the Quran which encourages the Muslims to jihad."
The other part of the resolution is even more shocking where it says "the danger of the Wardha scheme is that children will be indoctrinated in such a way that not only would they be friendly to other religious groups, but they would also consider every religion of the world a true religion. Jihadism gets sustenance from verses of war in the Quran

Knowing how to Interpret Quran correctly doesn't solve our problems regarding the Holy Quran's war-like verses. These verses were situational. They are instructions given in a certain context. Some of them certainly are of a universal nature. But that context does not and cannot obtain today or in future. Time machine or not, we are not going to live in the 6th century Arabia and fight those wars again. Enemies of Islam both within and without are using these surahs to propagate that Islam breeds or justifies terrorism. A virtually new religion has come into existence that I have been calling Jihadism, but it claims to be Islam and derives sustenance from these verses. Its practitioners too are outwardly Muslim and claim to be true Muslims, indeed the only Muslims who deserve to go to Heaven. Jihadism has indeed distorted the very beautiful concept of Jihad fi sabilillah. Mainstream Islam is not contradicting these claims loudly and widely enough. This inevitably creates suspicions in the minds of our neighbors, people belonging to other religions who do not understand the situational nature of Quranic verses, particularly as they are told that every word, comma and full stop in the Holy Quran is immutable and of universal significance. This also makes the task of Jihadists easier; they are able to easily brainwash our youth, even those who are highly educated and intelligent.
Living in Pakistan, the very hub of terrorism, you have probably become inured to Qital in a way that Muslims in more peaceful societies are not. The article 'Muslims should abrogate verses of war in Islamic Law' was a cry of despair from an Indonesian Muslim who is watching his peaceful Islamic country gradually turning into an inferno of Jihadism. I made a similar plea in Indian Ulema have no time to lose, must call warlike Quranic surahs obsolete for the same reason. Indian Prime Minister took pride not long ago in the fact that not a single Muslim from this country was found to be a part of the international Al-Qaeda network. We can no longer do so and Jihadism is gaining ground here too. Mainstream Islam must respond to the challenge of Jihadism that is based on verses from Quran that no longer apply. Let us come out and say so.

This being the fact, the question is: What is the significance of the "Night of Destiny" and what He revealed or reveals in this night? As the Quran explains, the Night of Destiny is a Night,[8] which is better than a thousand months, for "on that night the angels and Spirit[9] by their Lord's leave come down with each decree. That night is peace, till break of dawn."[10].. . Maududi thinks this refers to the Night in which Allah had handed over the entire celestial Quran to the angels from which angel Gabriel "kept on revealing its verses and Ayats from time to time to Rasul Allah for 23 years in accordance with events and circumstances. I could not help being inspired by Ameer-e-Jamaat Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umri's rousing words addressing the Muslim gathering: "Stand up to fight for the right of other sections of humanity, not just to beg for justice for yourself. " … Tall orders? Shouldn't be! These are just starting points. After all fight for justice like charity should begin from home. Let us, Maulana Umri, set our houses in order. This will give us the moral strength and moral stature required to fight for justice for all the oppressed of humanity, that indeed, as you very rightly said, is the objective of Islam.
