[ALOCHONA] Re: The change agenda

And this is precisely why change must come in the large part with a
new set of faces. Whilst Obama's transition team has many Clintonites
it has new people as well. And of course the newest new person is
Obama himself.

In Bangladesh what exactly is the newest thing we will have after the
next election? Well I know criminal dalals who have left Kuwait and
are busy now seeking AL and BNP nomination in the upazilla and
parliamentary elections. Maybe these guys will be new : )

In Bangladesh being a tout or a pimp won't stop your nomination as an
MP in either AL and BNP. Thats one of the great things about our
democracy -

We Are All Equal In The Eyes Of Politcians.

And that brings us neatly to one of the common dirty political
techniques in Bangladesh - making everyone equal, good and bad, and
painting oneself as 'magnanimous' at the same time. If you have been
involved in Bangladeshi organisational culture you will understand
this well.

Its one of the reasons why no more than two dozen really decent
people exist in public life in a nation of 150 milion plus.

Sick.
