Re: [mukto-mona] Re: How did life itself begin?

I did not mean to leave everything to God. That's not what I said. This term, "I leave it to God," only pertains to the mystery of God's existence, which nobody knows yet. I would like to defer my judgment on this issue until I know the truth. Physicists are trying to understand the origin of the Universe. I am afraid, conclusive result may not come forth in my life-time. I do not want to change my faith in God, that came to me through inheritance. Removing God altogether from our lives may give rise to many other ethical/moral conflicts. Many of our Atheist (Godless) friends may say that they have no trouble with any of these issues. To which I say, you do not see those problems in your lives because you are neo-Godless, still living in a Godloving society, which is probably influencing your behaviors. Think about generations living in a pure Godless world having no moral/ethical constraints. That could be a huge jungle. By the way, Atheism is a faith also because faith' is something that we know nothing about. I am ready to settle for a universal religion, called humanity, which can unite everyone on this planet, and that's what is needed now. I do not see anything that can be gained by arguing over the existence of God, a topic none of us knows any better.

The most important problem to the God concept is that it is completely
completely incompatible with science and I will attempt to elaborate why.
Science dwells on a certain amount of restlessness. This restlessness
is what drives a scientist out of bed everyday and makes him come to
the lab despite a month or a year of failed experiments. This
restlessness makes a scientist stand for hours in a bus in a hot
summer or walk in bone-chilling cold (depending on where he is
situated) to his haven of activities, where he would battle around
with ideas on how and why things happen as they would happen.

This retlessness can be killed with one sentence. God did it.

So when we do not have either the time nor the expertise to go about
solving these questions, do we "pseudosolve" them or "pseudoanswer"
them by invoking solutions/answers based on faith. And there, my
friend Jiten, lies the answer. What is religion, or the core of
religion but faith in an entity? That faith which is unshakeable
because it is not based on reason, and should not be for faith is
never logical. Just like faith in your loved one, or something like
that. But to use that faith to try to solve problems in astronomy,
evolution or other subjects is just not for liberal-minded [mukto mon :)]
