[ALOCHONA] Re: Sheikh Hasina Fears Conspiracies and Rigging in the Forthcoming Election

Dear Wohid

Even if 1/11 did not change Deshi politics it was still worth it.
Because if we didn't have this CTG we would have had another 5 years
of AL and BNP in their traditional format. WORSE! And anyone who
thinks that AL and BNP would have kept food prices significantly
lower or handled the floods much better is in denial.

Hasina and Khaleda stood together after 10 years only after getting
their backsides kicked by this CTG.

It is this CTG that at least tried to stand up to Hasina and Khaleda
and their political mafias.

It is only this Army that stood up to Hasina and Khaleda and their
political mafias.

The election month was fixed long ago. It is not the fault of the CTG
that BNP did not take the chance to reform itself or to prepare in
time. If months ago this CTG had changed the election date to June
2009 good old BNP would have complained as loud as good old AL.

It is this CTG that has gotten rid of the curse of Tariq from BNP. It
is up to the really decent elements of BNP to lead the charge for
reforms. AL is still stuck in its hole.

And it is because of this CTG that no one outside of AL and BNP will
ever again try to come to power to do two years of gosha goshi with
Hasina and Khaleda. If things go back to they were before 1/11 then
next time a more permanent solution will be executed by those who
decide to take matters into their own hands.

Certainly I think that life at the top should be as cheap as it is at
the bottom.

I remain your brother.

Keep faith. We have to.

Best wishes

Ezajur Rahman

She enthusiastically accepted the election schedule declared to be
held on December 18. Although earlier she was so vocal against the
emergency, this time such suffocating measures against politicians
like the continuity of emergency rule during election and the
unbridled sweeping power of the CEC against poll candidates didn¢t
bother her at all since assumedly these adverse measures were
warranted to ensure her embarking on power at a shuttering detriment
of the Four Party Alliance. That is the reason that while the 4 Party
Alliance vowed not to participate in the election as scheduled on
December 18 unless and until few demands were met including lifting
of emergency and curtailing

of election only on December 18 to the exclusion of the 4 Party

exclude the 4 Party Alliance from participating in the election, the
CTG and CEC were left with no further drama to choreograph against
the unfaltering demands of the 4 Party Alliance and the growing
public sentiment to reschedule the election and accept other demands
before a free and fair election could be ensured. As such, the
election has been finally rescheduled on December 29 to accommodate
all major contenders, i.e. the Great Alliance and the 4 Party
Alliance. With this in the scenario the assurance for Sheikh Hasina
to become the next PM has become weaker and subject to challenge.
Therefore, she is now predicting conspiracies and rigging in the
election so as to reserve a bullet (denunciation of the outcome of
election results with allegation of insurmountable conspiracies and
rigging) in her gun to be shot immediately after the results of are
declared in case her alliance would

all??? Regards. Sincerely, Wohid
