[mukto-mona] Re: Mumbai Massacre and Lesson for India

WRT: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mukto-mona/message/50868

Jaffor Ullah's thesis is that injustice in Palestine and in Kashmir
has turned Muslims to terrorism.

The thesis is as flawed as it is dangerous.

Injustice to Muslims was never confined to Palestine/Kashmir. Far
greater injustices have tormented many more Muslims around the world.

As Bangladeshis, we know what happened in our land in 1971. Did
Muslims from the rest of the world turn to terrorism to bring justice
to Bangladeshis? Of course not. Muslims from Malaysia and Indonesia
showed a modicum of concern for us but the rest of the Muslim world
decided to stand in Pakistan's corner to allow its army to continue
with the rapes, mayhem and murder.

Bangladesh's experience isn't unique.

Think of the plight of the Kurds. They are Muslims numbering many
times more than Muslims of Palestine/Kashmir. They have been subject
to gross inhumanity for many many years in Iraq, Turkey, Syria and
Iran. Do we Muslims turn to terrorism to bring justice to the Kurds?
We have not bothered to even table a resolution on their behalf at
OIC meetings.

Consider the rape/genocide of the African Muslims in Sudan at the
hands of Arab Muslims. Are they suffering less than Muslims in
Palestine/Kashmir? Do we make posts in mukto-mona against the
genocide?

Remember the time Saddam Hussein, aided and abetted by the West,
brought war upon Iran? Millions died in that war. Did we Muslims, in
general, and Sunnis, in particular, turn to terrorism to stop Saddam
Hussein's crime against humanity?

Jaffor Ullah is quite right to complain about disparities that have
relegated Muslim Indians to the status of underclass. But to glibly
blame that for the mayhem in Mumbai is to turn a blind eye to the
culpability of the Terror Inc. of Pakistan that has thoroughly
tainted the 21st century with gory deeds even before its first decade
is over. 9/11 may have been perpetrated by Saudi Arabians but all
those involved (including Osama) had very strong ties to Pakistan's
Terror Inc.

Lest we forget, this Terror Inc. in Pakistan is a legacy of the
tradition that had led Pakistani soldiers to indulge in
rapes/genocide in Bangladesh to turn "inferior Muslims" in Bangladesh
to real Muslims who would do the same unto infidels.

If terrorists from Myanmar or India were to do the same in Dhaka,
will Jaffor Ullah blame injustices in Chittagong Hill Tracts for the
terror? I hope not. Terrorists are terrorists. They need no excuse
for their evil deeds.

Jaffor Ullah, think before you write. Please do not ever again try to
absolve Pakistan's Terror Inc. for its myriad crimes. Pakistan's
Terror Inc. is the most vicious enemy of humanity in the present
world.
