I revere those valiant freedom fighters who gave their lives for the sake of the country. I show respect, compassion and sympathy to all who sacrificed for the country, who were wounded during the war and their family members. We are to announce the manifesto of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in this critical time of the country when democracy is chained. It is the desire of the nation that an elected government would be formed through the upcoming election on 29 December and the journey of democracy will resumed in Bangladesh inshaallah. Under this backdrop, the election manifesto of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is formulated to reestablish democracy and to take Bangladesh towards prosperity. He was speaking today morning at 11 AM in a crowded press conference organized in the central office of Jamaat-e-Islami after announcing the election manifesto of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami for 2008. Naib-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Moqbul Ahmed, Secretary General and former minister Ali Ahsah Muhammad Mujahid, Assistant Secretary Gerenal Muhammah Kamaruzzaman, Abdul Kader Molla, ATM Azharul Islam and Barrister Abdur Razzaq, Central Executive Council member Maulana Rafiuddin Ahmed, Central Publicity Secretary Professor Tasneem Alam, Ameer of Dhaka city Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Central working council member Maulana Muminal Haque Choudhury, Advocate Jasim Uddin Sarkar, Maulana ATM Masum and Assistant Secretary of Dhaka city Nurul Islam Bulbul were present in the press conference. Maulana Motiur Rahman Nizami said, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will participate in the upcoming 9th Parliamentary Election with the alliance. Bangladesh Jamaa-e-Islami, as a partner of the government, will try to carry out some agendas, if the people elect the four-party alliance. Some of those are: 1. Stable democratic system and rule of law will be ensured. 2. Wages and allowance for the government employees will be increased in order to ensure corruption-free administration and accountability. 3. A strong defence will be developed devising a national defence policy. 4. A comprehensive programme will be taken to eliminate terrorism and corruption. 5. Education sector will be given the highest priority and vocational education will be prioritized. Party politics will be stopped in educational institutions. 6. Open market system will be introduced, subsidy will be given and TCB will be extended to curb price hike. 7. To obtain food security and 8.
