[ALOCHONA] Re: Is it the return we deserve from BDR jaowans?

Dear Alochok Masud

No. It is not the return you deserved. Not at all. The sheer scale of
the horror must surely narrow the gaps between us all. The nation
stands with the grieving families of all our Armed Forces.

It is of little comfort that acts of mercy and bravery by individual
BD jawans are being reported. But it is of some comfort at least to
those very few whose lives were saved. We thank those individual BDR
jawans. And we pray they are not mercilessly included with the real
criminals.

This cruel, cruel act is the worst possible example of the real
condition of our country. The general population and all it's
institutions are victims of an appalling lack of true leadership.

Perhaps every single Bangladeshi home is in mourning for our fallen
sons. We speak of them with few words, we pray for them with much
grief. But there is an underlying sorrow - unspoken and unresolved -
a sorrow for our beloved unhappy nation. How much more failure are we
supposed to take? Is there no limit?

You are not alone Masud. You are not alone. The whole country
deserves much better than it has received. And we are all part of the
problem and at the same time we are all part of the solution.

Next to Rifle Square, where we buy music and saris and panjabis to
celebrate our life - unarmed soldiers lost their lives defending
their unarmed comrades. If we close our eyes we can see their last
moments. Until the tears force our eyes open again.

Our War of Indepedence is not yet complete. It never was. For freedom
cannot be for the self determination of fools - free to mock honour
and justice. Freedom must be for the self determination of men, real
men, - bound to the cause of honour and justice.

They died together unarmed.

Our fighting men are not trained to die for nothing. Their deaths
cannot, must not, and will not be for nothing. It must be for
something. And that something cannot be a brick monument to which we
pay homage once a year while the rest of the year the nation
tolerates ignorance, prejudice, corruption, nepotism, conspiracy and
division.

Each nation exalts its children as its future. In Bangladesh we must
exalt our children as our salvation. For the men, and women, in our
high places have, collectively, always, let us down.

They were brothers in arms. And yet they had no arms to defend
themselves. They fell brother upon brother. Their last words, upon
their last gasp of air, are known. We just cannot bear to speak them.

God - give no quarter to all patriots. Let all patriots not rest and
not waiver until a nation worthy of the fallen of 1971 and 2009, and
unbeholden to any single man or family, is returned to the next
generation.

information reached in the Army camps of various places of Chittagong

that difficult terrain. We worked for 60 days under open sky without
being supported by any food and logistics. And all 60 officer worked
together to find out culprits.

the return we deserve from the same force that we are serving with,
shoulder to shoulder, since liberation? Do we deserve this kind of
return for whom we deprived our families and kindred?
