RE: [mukto-mona] Re: BDR Revolt is a long term damage to Bangladesh Future

unequal pay and for that matter any other grievances are not enough cause for the war s"called revolt" took place.
It can only be explained by conspiracy--by whom, how aht the motivation will come out once the inquiry committee report comes out.
How about:
1. within 12 hours of revolt so many were killed and burried in GANA KABARS/  Hw many people are needed to did the graves for so many people in such a short time?
2. why the promise to end revolt did not end even after visit of home minister.
3. how you explain killings in other BDR camps outside Dhaka?

Is it possible to explain this way:

1.  WHY bdr EX DIRECTOR  right at the wee hours of BDR incident gave TV interview echoing anti army litany and supported the cause of NDR?

Bir Pratik / Uttam?General (Retird) Fazlur Rahman, former DG of BDR giving TV interview as the conspirator's crime unfolds. He  was the man responsible for killing five or seven BSF men in March/April 2001 and putting your Government at a precarious situation with India.  The effort then was for two prong—to raise anti India hysteria and making it impossible for you to take action against him (it was so overwhelming that Sk Hasina was almost compelled to decorate him with Bir Pratik/Uttam?), and 2. to alienate India from Awami League.  It certainly played a part in election held in October, 2001.

He should be quarantined and gruel in Interrogation Chamber

For his involvement in this conspiracy.  Same should be done to SAKA Choudhury.

Is it possible that BDR revolt if intervevent by Army at early period would have resulted in countrywide chaos and then the about 30 or 40 so thousands of Jamtees in BDR, Army, Police, Ansar, etc. together with about  10 thousand jangi armed cadres would have joined hand.

Is it possible that the list of more than 300 pro muktijuddho elite and leaders of major party would have been eliminated by these force within hours after army BDR involvced in armed conflict?

Gentlemen think and think please before becominh too complacent to what the justification by BDR and their apologists put forward.

Thanks to SK Haisna's prudence and determination that saved our nation and people once again.

Root Cause of BDR Revolt:
1) Unequal pay and benefit based on ranks in BRD and Army.
2) Unequal distribution of corrupt money between BDR and Army.
3) Final and most important cause is empowering party (AL or BNP)
in BDR and Army.  Lets use our common sense.  Why did BDR revolt
now?  Why did not happen in the last 2 years? A group of BDR who are
supporter of AL Party thought that their Govt is in power and they
should get whatever they want.  Party empowerment in every sector is
the biggest cause of problem in Bangladesh.

My Comment:

I am surprised to see that your "complete analysis" and the
identification of "root cause" did not include the possibility of
infiltration by Hostile Intelligence Agencies to perpetuate such
heinous act. What is increasingly becoming clear is that the
incident was not a `revolt' but a `killing and `looting' spree and
some dispeakable crimes against children and women. There are
reports that some of the jawans were supplied with ammunition from
outside in a private van which was used for the killing. More so it
was a handful of jawans who actually performed this killing while
some were coerced to join and others were reluctant to take part.
In the backdrop of such facts coming in front now, how you could
ignore the involvement of outside forces including foreign agencies
whose sole intention was to kill, loot and possibly create a
backlash in the discipline forces of Bangladesh? How you became so
certain and have started suggesting the ways to avoid? Don't you
think it's little premature? I remember reading Robert L Sheer the
famous historian writing about Hitler (The Rise and Fall of Third
Riche) after 50 years he commented " it is probably still not time
(after 50 years) to write the correct history of Hitler."

I am indeed surprised to see your ultra-quick identification of the
causes and comment on how to resolve the dispeakable killing even
before when we know the total facts and the extent of involvement.

I feel it is prudent to take time to gather facts and make
assessment based on the facts considering all the corners before
making any comments in open forum and on such important and
sensative issue that involved killing of so many officers and
jawans.
