Dear freethinker, It is vital that we invest in the next generation of secular and freethought leaders—young people who understand the importance of promoting and defending science, reason, and planetary values. This April, scientists, philosophers, writers, and politicians from around the world will convene near Washington, D.C. for the Center for Inquiry's World Congress 2009. More than 30 prominent speakers and scholars will analyze the role of science in our lives, explore its connections to modern law and civilization, and examine its significance for the global community. CFI's World Congress is a rare opportunity for students to learn from the leaders of today as they prepare to become the secular, humanist, and skeptic leaders of tomorrow. For over ten years, CFI has helped students organize and speak out on campuses around the world. These students carry the torch of science and reason into the new millennium, but we can help them do more. Even in these difficult financial times, CFI has committed the resources to bring six student leaders to this important conference. But with your help, we could bring many more. Your support can provide scholarships and travel grants allowing more student leaders to attend—please consider giving today so we can bring these students to this important event! There are three ways you can help: - Make a gift today to help CFI bring more students to the conference.
- Work with your local CFI Community or secular humanist/skeptic group to sponsor a student from your area.
- If you are part of a CFI campus group, pool your resources to sponsor a student from your school. Colleges and universities often provide funds for such purposes.
Please help us provide this opportunity to more student leaders!
Sincerely,
Debbie Goddard Campus Coordinator Center for Inquiry |
