We admire the refusal of our government to condemn the verdict against Aung San Suu Kyi. In Bangladesh there is no contradiction in fighting for democracy but keeping silent about military dictators only a few miles away in Burma. We rightly preserve our tradition of talking big at home while being invisible abroad. It is not easy to avoid making even the slightest diplomatic provocation. The world has much to learn from our silence. Keep up the good work.
