Jatiyo Shongshod's situation has changed since the partisan Speaker left the job. New Speaker is much better for the opposition. She is not a diehard Baksali like Ex-Speaker Abdul Hmid. He was the real problem for the opposition to stay in the Parliament. Her beginning was good, she ensured that no  opposition members should stay behind bar while the parliamentary session is going on, She acted in a proper manner and 2 senior opposition members were released on time before the parliamentary session unconditionally. Her role for their release is created better environment .Ex-Speaker Abdul Hamid did  nothing to release opposition members in repressive custody. She is more tolerant than Awami Speaker Abdul Hamid. Mr. Hamid totally failed to conduct the parliament neutrally. He always followed ruling party  instructions obediently. Mr. Abdul Hamid should learn a lesson from our newly installed Speaker.Although new
Speaker wasn't directly elected by the people, she is a better performer and was a right choice from the Prime Minister.. Unelected persons can do better job that elected nonperformers.

BNP joins Parliament : They should never boycott Parliament for long periods

Opposition lawmakers walked out just two hours after returning to parliament ending an 83-day boycott, in protest against the home minister's verbal order for restrictions on rallies in the capital. Senior Bangladesh Nationalist Party lawmaker Moudud Ahmed after question hours rose on a point of order and initiated an unscheduled discussion condemning the imposition of restrictions on rallies by home minister Muhiduddin Khan Alamgir. After concluding his statement, Moudud led the opposition walkout in protest against the 'undemocratic' restrictions.
Earlier, the opposition members returned to parliament that began its budget session newly elected speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair to approve the last budget of the Awami League-led government. The opposition lawmakers led by Khaleda Zia entered the house after speaker Shirin Sharmin concluded her welcome speech. The treasury bench members welcomed the opposition members by thumping desks.
After the evening prayer recess, Moudud also demanded an apology from the home minister for imposing the restrictions and withdrawal of such order before leading the walkout. He said such order 'gives an impression that the state is being run under a silent emergency rule.'

Moudud said the home minister had announced such 'ban' in Mirersarai which was 'illegal' and 'unconstitutional'.
'Rallies could be banned only by imposing emergency rules. Should we consider that an undeclared emergency rule has been imposed by the verbal order. It seems, the country is being run by verbal orders,' he said.'You will not stay in office for ever. How would you feel if you were in the opposition and our home minister had made such an announcement? The minister has
infringed on the people's basic rights by the verbal order. It will remain one of the darkest stigmas of this government,' he said.Moudud hoped that the home minister would offer an apology in the house and withdraw his order. 'It will not lower the dignity of the government, rather enhance it,' he said.

We welcome the return of BNP led opposition to Parliament after a long boycott. We ask BNP and Awami League not to boycott Parliament for long spells, walkout on issues is alright. We do not find any logic for boycott, the arguments given for boycott by both parties and others are flimsy. If opposition feel that issues require outside movement also, they can attend Parliament and make movement outside simultaneously. The culture of boycott should be given up for all times.
