Whenever BD govt. makes bilateral treaty with India , there always been "Hue and Cry" from certain quarter . Their miss propaganda about selling our motherland to India has been a childish matter to all since then ! Khaleda Zia , the so called opposition leader , have made some comments on recent India tour of our Hon . PM . As usual her comments were baseless , false , fabricated . Many years ago she made a comment that if Awami League comes to power they will sell the country to India , instead of holy Adhan , there will be Uludhoni in the Masajid , etc ! Now Awami League is in power for almost ten years and the countrymen didn't notice any signs of allegations of Khalefda Zia .
Khaleda and her allies should know that Bangladesh is not a "Potato" that it can be sold to any body ! If India had a bad intention to occupy Bangladesh , they could have done it in 1971 . Rather India left our motherland with dignity and friendly manner in a short period of time . All credit goes to Bangabandhu and Indira Gandhi for exit of Indian forces from Bangladesh . India is the only country in the world who has done this ! Look at other countries , specially USA , until today they have their bases in allied countries to protect them from the heinous enemies . After second world war NATO was created for that reasons . Bangladesh should have treaty like that with India just after liberation . If treaty was there , our great leader , father of nation Bangabandhu could survive and tackle the conspiracy of the anti liberation forces in 1975 .
Now Bangladesh has learned from their mistakes and our hon . PM Sheikh Hasina has made a prudent arms treaty with our trusted friend India to keep our country safe . No doubt , India is our most trusted friend . During our great liberation war India has given us shelter , food , arms , training and even blood and lives of sixteen thousands soldiers .
