Thanks Jalal Bhai for further elucidating secularism and TNT. 


I agree with AR on one point that the TNT is dead now. In fact, it started loosing its meaning from 1947 itself as the pigheaded Punjabi and military leaders of Pakistan renegaded from from its spirit and alienated and subjugated the Bengalis of East Pakistan for long 23 years. It is also true that TNT became Three Nations Theory (Th NT)with the creation of Bangladesh as an independent Muslim country. In other words, if there were no TNT, there would not be Th NT either.

I or any other Bengali of East Pakistan didn't have to know the word or meaning of "secularism" before January 1972 because nobody talked about it as a political, social or religious issue then (show me the evidence, if you disagree); it existed in the dictionary only. It is sad that a neo-apartheid, a neo-TNT is being imposed under the shelter of Secularism in Bangladesh today. However, this dichotomy will have to come to an end the soonest. One cannot ride a tiger for too long; the fall has to come.
