[mukto-mona] Re: Jaffor Ullah and the anti-Zionist "narrative"

WRT: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mukto-mona/message/45733

Hello Ami Isseroff:

So in your eyes my objectively written account of how the Zionists
got their land became an "anti-Zionist narrative." When the issue is
establishment of a Jewish state in the heart of Philistine, the truth
is in the eyes of the beholder.

My objective was not to write a narrative totally based on the ever
so popular folklores of Jewish people that are deeply embedded in
a "Blind Belief System" but to write the history of the Zionist
movement and how that movement helped create a Jewish state in 1948.
Never mind how many people or families were displaced to accommodate
both Ashkenazy and Sephardic Jews from allover the world.

You failed to show where I erred! Your broadside against my article
was pathetic. There was no mentioned of where I made a mistake. As
an intelligent student of history of nineteenth and twentieth century
I should be allowed to speak my mind and which I did.

Migration of human beings allover the orb in search of greener
pasture is as prevalent today as it was in the days of yore. Many
Jewish people have migrated to Europe purely for financial reason. A
cursory look into the family of Rothschild will prove my point.
Jewish people were heavily involved in money lending business from
time immemorial. This art of money lending became the cornerstone of
banking. Therefore, it is a small wonder that Jewish folks in Europe
and elsewhere were heavily involved in banking and other businesses.
When was the last time you've heard of a Jewish farming community in
Europe. There may have been some but in general Jewish folks were
urban people. The Zionists will always like to paint a picture of
victimization of Jewish people to make their case for establishing a
homeland for their clan.

My article was soundly rooted to documented history of Europe. I did
not resort to folklores of Middle East to justify the establishment
of Israel. Have you seen how many unsavory characters have gone to
Israel right after the establishment of the holy state? Ms. Golda
Meir was an activist (member of Habonim Dror) from Milwaukee,
Wisconsin). Her acerbic tongue was ready to annihilate the local
people who were not Jewish descendent. How about Menachem Begin?
Was he not the young man who brought down King David Hotel? In
today's definition Mr. Begin was same as al-Qaeda terrorist. Come
on, please have the guts to call a spade a spade.

Finally, before calling someone else a fabricator of truth, look your
face into the mirror. What you are trying so hopelessly is to
justify the action of Zionists on a flimsy ground. The Chinese claim
Tibet to be the part of China on a similar tenuous document - the
folklore. The Zionists also did the same thing; they brought
anecdotal evidence from "holy book" to justify the establishment of
Jewish land while turning a blind eye to the local people - both
Christians and Muslims. May I humbly ask – where is the justice?

Sincerely,

A.H. Jaffor Ullah
