KARACHI MEDIA CITY PROJECT TO ATTRACT US$400 MLN INVESTMENT

KARACHI, Jan 31 Asia Pulse - A media city is being set up for the first time in Pakistan that would attract an investment of US$400 million for Sindh province, caretaker provincial minister for information technology, mines and minerals development, alternate energy and environment, Jam Karam Ali said on Tuesday.

He was speaking at a meeting followed by presentation by Smart City Development (Pvt) Ltd. The minister said the media is a source of development of any nation and reflects its status, besides guiding the people.

He said the internet media city would be set up under a new scheme. He said besides having fame of economic engine, the Karachi was also the hub of information technology in the country.

He said Smart City Development (Pvt) Ltd, Dubai, would make investment in IT sector of Sindh, as it had shown deep interest in Karachi.
